Can this be used to learn to play the guitar as a beginner? Can anyone recommend a tutorial for that if this is not the one?

I think it is a great lesson/lessons for a beginner. It will teach you the proper technique to avoid learning or forming bad habits or improper technique.

Hi Mewthree. If you mare truly a beginner, I would suggest you use the free website: Justin is terrific for beginners and very well organized. You could also check out some of the beginner courses at Truefire: or better yet, Marty Schwartz: He has a lot of beginner things and is very popular. This particular course is way to technical and fiddly for a beginner. It won't be much fun. Justin or especially Marty are a lot of fun. Let me know if you have any other questions.

NOT for beginners at all !
There are tons of things to understand.
It is there to show you WHY you can't get faster.
And HOW to get faster.

But it still very important when you evolve, because you can learn WHY 3 notes per string s*cks :D
