Is synthesizing a drum kit so hard that people adhering to 808's ridiculous principles?

its more the trademark sound the 808 and 909 had, but i think it has nothing to do with being hard.
actual at the end of the movie, they said because there were no longer bad diodes produced, roland could make more 808's, so in 3 years they produced ~12000 808's, not many if you ask me, for a hardware that has changed the music so much.

Where is Kurtis Mantronik from rap group Mantronix? He pioneered a sound like snare rolls that today is only duplicated and often imitated. Cold getting dumb with Just Ice is a perfect example of his skills on this machine. I dare anyone to disagree once you hear the song. Peace.
