This interview is about techniques, workflow, or just career and stuff?

what on EARTH is the meaning of that cover above?

Normal funtcase (whatever the heck THAT name is... I personally find it to be a displeasing name)... normal funtcase on the right... Non-normal funtcase on left... with a pair of briefs on his head (which have holes cut for eyes) and a hat pulled over it.

uhhhhmmmmmmm... ok?
I finally can tune a drum set

He actually wears those "briefs" over his face (it's actually a mask) whenever he performs live. It also has to do with his name since it's actually a play on "Cuntface" and thus he wanted the mask to resemble that.

I don't particularly agree with those artistic choices either but I guess that's for him to decide. But I've seen him live once a bunch of years back and the guy actually knows how to bring a party. His DJ'ing wasn't necessarily impressive from a technical standpoint but he absolutely goes bonkers when standing behind the decks. And if there is one thing I can't stand it's all those asshole DJs who just stand there spinning tunes without showing any energy or emotion. Not even to speak of those fucks that just do the "Jesus" or clap in the air to try and get the crowd to join them?

But I guess you'd have to be able to enjoy dubstep to be able to appreciate his stuff and maybe even his entire persona. I kind of left dubstep behind just when it became trendy and never really got back into it. But his sound design and production skills are actually pretty solid. The guy is a drummer by heart and manually plays in every single drum pattern that he uses within his track himself on a set of acoustic drums. That's a lot more than you can say about 97% of the other popular modern day producers in the EDM scene.

People need the DJ to be dancing for them to be able to get into it more! Lol!
Oh, and drugs too! Take all that away and people will be standing still.

no kidding!! : )

that's cool... i totally get it.... yeah, I won't even check his sound cuz I bet it is brostep.... I mean flux pavillion?

I listend to a handful of North American artist back in '09... Triage, Dubtek, Anti-Serum, Babylon System... Northwest stuff... (and other artists on the same labels). I had few Excision tracks and also that other guy... the one Excision lived with in B.C. for awhile.

But now I can't stand that whole scene... as it's super brostep man.

I checked myself and stuck with u.K. proper/deep dubstep. You know... SLeeper, District, Demon, Dcult, Biome, Tempa, LX-One, Youngsta, Gantz, DTR, Amit, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

But I get the funtcase thing , hehe heheh.

and I will give it a listen anyway, cuz that's super closeminded to not check it.

but thanks for the info.

Lol this guy actually does DnB?? It must be some dark, heavy, robotic/neuro stuff. Not my thing. I only know one song by him, "50 Caliber", and it sounds like shite in my opinion. I can see the appeal, used to sort of like that style myself for raves, guess I've grown out of it. I'll give him one thing - he has presence on stage. I imagine a set of his is off the wall (given the right substances).
