I recently read in a book posted on audioz this week: 'Inside the Music Business' , the musicians who work in large productions do not earn much, even in the USA, and also that 'it's difficult' to see an artist makes big money.

On the transition page 28-29:
"No artist makes really big money in the record business unless he or she breaks in more than one territory. The term territory usually means country, but in certain circumstances can mean a 29 group of countries in which trends follow similar paths. In record marketing terms, The US is a territory; Australia and New Zealand together make up a single territory, as do Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. Scandinavia, too, is regarded as a single territory."
