It ain't pretty but you can workaround the issue by opening the epub with an archiver (7zip should work) and deleting the .css (EPUB/css/main.css).

Thanks but it's not really fixed so much as broken in a different way that happens to not be an issue for reading sheet music in some epub reading programs. e.g. Okular won't scale the images in proper resolution (they turn out blocky) while mupdf will layout the images before the text titles. The readers that do manage to render non-conforming epubs that have missing .css and the likes are usually the browser-based ones like Firefox's EPUBReader and most (but not all) of the readers on Android and iOS devices as they usually use full browser engines like webview and webkit under the hood.

Anyhow, it's a workaround; Not a fix. But it works so... Yeah :D
