Fair enough, we'll be generous and say he's been doing this with a decent level of skill for ten years, is simply cut-'n-pasting together elements of pre-made beat kits and running them through a "mastering" algo (which is what his stuff sounds like; basic construction kit piano and pad, a drum loop & vocals thrown in,) posting it up on some beat site for wayward rappers, and advertising it on the usual SM outlets, and because of this is making three beats a day—which is what he'd have to do to hit 11k within ten years. That still requires him to actually *sell three beats a day. I don't keep an eye on these sites because I don't use them, for better or worse, but I know plenty of people who do; there is a *stupid* amount of people selling beats these days, and to think this dude has three beats selling a day... I mean, *maybe if he's paying to have his stuff posted at the top of the lists every daY? But even then... one person I know tries to post something new everyday, keep his name out there, and his beats get lost in the crowd pretty quickly.
Anyway, I just had to throw that out there for anyone hoping this might be something other than a cash-grab by some guy I've never heard of before... or his record label. I'm sure it's worth checking out as it might have some useful information in it, but even if his profits and claims are legit, his is a rare case and obviously took some major greasing.
You haven't made it if you're having to continually throw your money at these ghatdam beat hosts to make people pay attention to whatever your producing, and the reality is, that's what most people end up doing, with most seeing less cash than what they invested coming back to them at the end of the day.
