Music and the Mind by Anthony Storr EPUB screenshot
2015 | Free Press | ISBN: 9781501122095 | 1 MB | 320 Pages | EPUB
Why does music have such a powerful effect on our minds and bodies? It is the most mysterious and most tangible of all forms of art. Yet, Anthony Storr believes, music today is a deeply significant experience for a greater number of people than ever before. In this book, he explores why this should be so. Drawing on a wide variety of opinions, Storr argues that the patterns of music make sense of our inner experience, giving both structure and coherence to our feelings and emotions. It is because music possesses this capacity to restore our sense of personal wholeness in a culture which requires us to separate rational thought from feelings that many people find it so life-enhancing that it justifies existence.

Nah, this classic is at least from 2000, not 2015.
Degree level reading at the time.
The Clavichord is from the Late Middle Ages. It's not a Clavinet.

Thank you ^^
I copied every information from Amazon, and I was having some doubts about the exact year of that publication, but unfortunately can't proceed to edit the post

Yeah, don't bother. It has to be re-evaluated by PiRAT so it would vanish for a bit!

Brilliant book, though. Well done! Glad to see it's still a thing, this one.
I saw the other one you put up of his.
And thank you for all of these beautiful books you have been putting up!

Btw, when I see your name, I think of a strip that Dave Sheridan did.
Just a little strip squashed in amongst Dealer McDope or something.
And it was called "How To Be A Nartist". hehe.

Thank you very much and welcome: mates:
Indeed, I have already disturbed "PiRAT" several times because of such errors, and I don't want to do it anymore , especially since this man works alone and hard to keep everything in order. Otherwise, my name is a fusion of two words; (anarchist and artist) and I named it that because it reflects my artistic personality which is strictly anti-authoritarian and underground.

Storr died in 2001.
This is from 1992, I believe.
Thanks for the great read.
I miss the old days when you could just plug in and play.
