Isn't it a bit weird about having an uber acoustical pristine room for music that will be listened to 99% of the time in shit rooms on shit equipment? That mixers then tell you to take your mix and listen to it on as much normally used crap playback situations to check it

Or is the theory that if you start off with a room that is flat as possible, then the less headaches trying to tweak the mix for as many of these 'real' world listening situations as possible?

No, thats fine. Let's just say you have a resonance at 90hz in your room. And where you sit, phasing cancels out 150hz. Now you EQ to have as little as possible at 90hz and you dial in 150hz. You would have the perfect mix for someone with exactly the same room und the same listening position but your mix would be quite bad if the room is slightly different. You need to know what you're doingt, you can't fix your mix for every bad listening environment out there.

I think it's great to have acoustic tutorials here in audioz, but this is very basic to improve your room. I don't know any to recommend, but I'm sure they must exist.
You can search Google for people like Ethan Winer or Bogic Petrovic that while their job is not instruction, they know a lot about the subject.

This is literally SHIT. HE makes a video to show us how to treat your room with Foams?
Fuck it man.
Foams do more harm than good. It will just absorb high only frequencies and will basically make the frequency response of the room way more biased.
God bless those who bought this course.

But then I checked. This course was made in 2011-12, when people used to say any random shit just to make a course.
