try with the kontakt player first, open ableton with it. close ableton, replace by the fixed kontakt.

it's an ableton issue sometime. it need to load the kontakt player first.

Not working for me. Wants to activate. Patch thing not working.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I unpacked the exe file and ran pc setup as admin. It installed, but when I run it, it wants to activate.

I dont have Studio One but VST 2 and VST 3 working fine here, i can save and open projects without any problem in Cubase Elements 11. (Win 10 x64 21H2)

legit protools user reported it still crash

ableton take both, protools 12 also
it still bug in studio1 but also with the player untouched. i suspect a not finished version as NI generally send before another update.

same circus with mac users. lucky & unlucky.
something seems wrong about the half demo issue reported.

Regarding Win 7, 10 or 11. Some people just don't like changes. Do what you like, but don't force your opinions on me... And actually I liked Vista, could tweak it to run fine, but others (most) hated it..

Hi,
I've installed the alternative pre patched setup on Windows 10 :
- Standalone doesn't launch
- crashes the last Ableton Live 11.1
- Kontakt 6.6.1 portable version works fine.

my bad i forget to delete the Kontakt button in the exe folder
data/OFFLINE/FE8A53A5
the windows installer stay opened 5 mn in task manager after install.
maybe wait it close.
delete the kontakt button & data folder with the exe in you iso copy and install again.
i will reupload another one. (unlucky of unlucky)

if the other automated installer fail, it is because of residual temp files not allways deleted using total commander and the mini menu. i added a cleaner script to run before install.

First of all, i want to thank for your work and your Releases.
I'm on Win 10 21H2, on a Dual Core PC.
After updating from v6.6.1 to v6.7.0. (doesn't matter whitch Release) the Standalone App crashes sporadically by Start.
Sometime it starts without issue, somethimes witch.
So i wen't back to v6.6.1.

check taskmanager after a crash, sometime kontakt is still runing in background.

the first start build the database. it can come's from a conflictual library.
as a pluging scan in DAW.

I've tried to install and run a bunch of versions of Kontakt since 6.0 came out. This is the first version I've ever managed to install and run without any significant problems. Weirdly, the standalone and VST3 copies worked fine (on Win7 64 bit) straight out of the box, but I had to extract and manually install the regular VST2 -- perhaps because I've got it installed in a weird place? But the scripts appear to correctly identify where I saved my VST2, so it *should* have worked.

(Tested in Ableton 11 and Bitwig 4.)

Anyway, I love it. Finally, I can run Keepforest Risenge -- my primary reason for wanting Kontakt.

The setup launcher doesn't work for me, I ran as admin and turned off windows defender. W10 64 bit.

After a few days of trouble free working with 6.7 it started crashing on loading cubase projects again. This time I needed to delete the whole database folder, not just the db file.
Could it be on purpose, like in the old massive days where this was a protection trick by NI, which also affected legit users?

you can rename the patched files. and play both (variable result with DAW used). is is exactlly the same file, the kontakt player have 3 status:
demo (without license)
player (with the player license)
full (with a legit license)

the patched only bypass the licenses check, add the mini menu, open the library browser to home made stuff.
nothing else is changed.

i also revised the regedit modif for win11 // slash orientation is taken now.
the legit Kontakt show a crashlog in win11 if native access is not installed.
i will try to correct this issue from the patcher.

Sorry, newbie question here. I'm trying to add a VST libary (Albion One) and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Do you use the Native Access library tool? If so, it gives me an error that says "Windows cannot find .../.../NativeAccess.exe". Am I doing something wrong?

This one worked fine for me. Installed over the previous 6.6.1 without any problems on WIN10. Libraries and Quick Load without changes, all working fine standalone and on Reaper 5.99. Some libraries load even faster now, I'm really impressed. Thank you so much!
