Works Super Smooth. Feels Snappier than previous versions. Slightly less CPU usage. No crashes or bugs so far. But Ive only used it for about an hour. Plugins scan very quickly. Note the Midi Harmonizer, Splice Integration & Stem Separation are not part of this release. The rounded corners are pleasing to the eyes. The option to customize the interface is NOT deep like FL Studio. Its very Limited. Only a few buttons & options can be hidden as of the moment. Overall I like this release. I dont perform LIVE so those features arent important to me

So thankful to R2R!

Very disappointed with Presonus who have completely butchered the Audio Track appearance in this "update".

The audio track waveforms are now completely washed out with horrible highlighting.

Before V.7, the audio waveforms were clear in contrast from their containers, but now every audio track looks like a dull watercolour block with random container highlights that cannot be removed!
Meaning, there is no real contrast between an audio waveform and its container!

V.7 now has the worst audio view of ANY DAW.

I'm sure that many professionals and long-time users are guaranteed to complain about this - until they create an option to return to the previous audio colour-scheme.

Rounding the edges of audio containers Presonus...why?
This actually makes audio editing much more difficult as you can no longer see the grid-lines, cross-overs, or details of waveforms clearly any more.

I really hope these horrible design choices are not a sign of things to come

Studio One was known for having one of the best User Interfaces of all DAWs, but they have progressively made it worse with every major update.

There doesn't appear to be any improvements in efficiency/CPU usage (Win 10).

Personally, I feel that 5.5.2 is the most comfortable version, there are almost no bugs, and the color of the track window is also the most comfortable. It seems that from 6 onwards, the contrast and color of the tracks are uncomfortable

I have my GUI customized to custom colors for several versions now, and since this customization is carried over to all new versions, I haven't really seen any changes like the ones mentioned.
Personally, after being with this new version for a while, I think that the colors in the track window in this version where I see changes, become more comfortable for the eyes after getting used to them, my color customization is one of light colors that I also find comfortable for the eyes when using it for many hours, it looks like Ableton Live's.

Below are some troubleshooting tips for less common issues with the activation.

And the first thing they have on the list ( LMFAO)

1. Disabling a network card. If you disable a network card, the mac address for that card is no longer visible to the system and can cause Studio One to ask you to activate each time you reboot. Rather than disabling the network card, you may want to unplug the Ethernet cable or disconnect from your wireless network.

Change the mac address on your network card properties and see if the licence allows you to run Studio one you still may get a license check error if the the patched released is patching the local mac address into the license file, this will mean you will need the mac release version.

Not a total loss try it out.

Windows has security updates very often and every time they take measures against R2R, almost all programs are blocked by them and marked as viruses, so it is impossible to use R2R without dirtying your system. More recently Windows Defender also deletes R2R license installers from folders without asking you, warns you that you have viruses then deletes the licenses and leaves only the programs. And as time goes by it gets worse, i think it will reach a point when you will no longer be able to use any illegitimate program. Now i am put in the situation of choosing to use R2R or to disable the defense to windows, this will never happen guys.

I have spent a lot of time on this website, but never posted anything. I decided that it's time to do so now.
My first post here will be a huge Thank You! to R2R, and everybody elso, who give me so much joy.
I'm just a hobbyist who like to make noise, and I use Studio One for that. I could never buy any of the software or plugins I'm using. And I'm running out of hard drives all the time....

it's true that at first glance it's blander and less clear-cut. In the Option, General, Appearance menu, you can modify the brightness and contrast settings to return to a more pronounced appearance.
Frankly, it's not a success on the midi events in the piano roll the lightening of the appearance is going to be tiring in the long run and I think a contrast between the grid and the notes as it was before would have been much more comfortable.

works with studio one 6 but when you save under 7 SO6 will no longer be able to read the file. this is also a limitation that is a bit annoying. the backward compatibility of the backup should be possible to work with other platforms prior to win10 20h2

The DLL file is part of the patching process. The latest Ableton releases of R2R work in exactly the same way. The file is also required there. If the DLL modified by R2R is not copied, the DAW is not registered.

Two Problems
1. Since the version 6 that we keep SO 6, not reaching internet, I have problem with legit plugins like Tonex, that is keeping it also without reaching the free community that uploads profiles...!
2. I never found for the Studio One 6 the IRs for their new convolution reverb...
Any thoughts or solutions?

same here, I wanted help studio one to grow, so i bought literalkly all expansions they offer.
Now I feel like a hit in the face. That now how a company should treat its loyal customers.
