Windows Instructions:
1. Install vst 64 bit to your plugin folder
2. Mount/Open RC-20 Retro Color.iso and copy RC-20 Retro Color folder to C:\Program Files\XLN Audio
3. Execute DS10_Library_Placer.exe in folder
4. Copy XLN_KeyGen.exe to folder
5. Execute keygen, Get ID, then register Win
6. Profit

I was having issues installing this mainly all my daws would crash when I tried running the plugin. I instead installed the 1.0.3 version and it worked like a charm.

Did you code sign it and follow the instructions in the previous comments? This isn’t a plug and play release unfortunately. Many of us have spent days trying to get this to work.

Yes, I tried the sudo codesign, with no joy. I already had XLN XO installed, so I didn't think I needed to do everything on the install instructions per se. Like I said, the VST is fully working, just not seeing the AU version at all...

I'll take another look over the instructions, make sure I didn't miss anything.

Oh and ableton will show only the VST version, I THINK, for some weird reason. Although if you get it to work in logic then it should show up in Ableton too. You might need to reset the plugin cache in system library and follow the previous instruction too.

After a restart and clearing of the plugin cache, the AU has been scanned and is working in Logic and Ableton.

Please Help ! Using : Mac - Logic Catalina : Crossover!
After trying everything RC20 shows up in Plugin Manager but not validated.Normally you go to system pref - security and allow to open RC20. But ystem pref - security dont show the Rc20 to get acces. Please anybody there with giving clear instruction to install and validating ???

followed intsr above step by step ! But there is another folder named App in that XLN Online Installer folder that i should create in HD/Lib/App Supp/ ....
Coul it be the Problem ? Please send PM !

for mac:
following all Instructions meticulously i still had no success

then i found an older release:

there is a dmg inside to install, that release worked immediately,
so i redid the entire process for this release (i did not delete anything, just replaced) and now everything is working
never used codesign on any of these

maybe this helps someone

Follow the instructions carefully! I'll try to help in each step:
0. Self explanatory.
1. Copy the insides of RC-20 Retro Color.iso to /Library/Application Support/XLN Audio/
2. Copy RC-20 Retro Color.vst to your Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder & copy RC-20 Retro Color.component to your Audio/Plug-Ins/Components folder. (These are the folders all your au/vst files sit in)
3. Open the vst/au in your DAW, then close it. Get the ComputerID from the created log file.
4. Run XLN_KeyGen.exe, put the ComputerID you got from the log file in it & generate the licence file, then, copy and paste this newly created licence file into /Library/Application Support/XLN Audio/XLN Online Installer/App/Licenses/
5. Enjoy

I love R2R and im very grateful for all the releases.
But this one is a big flop. Terrible instructions.
Spent hours tried everything and still getting NO LICENSE FOUND
Followed every step precisely.
Also AU not showing up on Ableton 10 / High Sierra

It’s definitely all there - but for some reason it’s not playing nicely with some DAWS. With me it took 2 days deleting the .plist and cache files and constantly rescanning. Then there was a GUI error message. But eventually it suddenly started working - so I guess it depends how much you want this to work lol

One important step like always (Omnisphere etc.) you guys forget to mention in instructions: REBOOT between step 2 and 3 and after the last step too if not Macos can't read VST changes in Ableton.

Working perfectly for me on latest Catalina. VST and AU both working fine on Ableton 10. Followed instructions provided and additional instructions in comments. Worked immediately. Took less than 5 mins to get her up and running ????????

I'm on Catalina but I get this : “RC-20 Retro Color.component” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

Any thought ? can't believe it won't work on big sur

Follow the instructions below, then tried everything possible :
1. Create XLN Audio Folder in your HD Application Support, not User Application Support
2. Drag the folder in the iso file into this new folder you made
3. Drag either the vst or component to your vst or component plugins folder
3. BIS codesign les au/vst
4. Open your DAW and open the plugin. Opening the plugin will create the log file. You can just close the plugin for now you don't need to close your DAW (reboot computer)
5. Find the log file, it will be in User Library this time and not your HD Library. The location in the txt is correct.
6. Copy the ComputerID on the txt file
7. Open the keygen, if you don't have WIne you should really get Wine because it makes it super easy.
8. Paste your ComputerID in the Keygen and generate with OSX, I always copy to my desktop for easy finding.
9. The other unclear part of the directions, the file path it says you need to put this license file you need to create the folders of. So go to your XLN Audio folder in the Application Support of your HD Library. Inside you'll create the folder XLN Online Installer, inside that you'll create the folder App, inside that you'll create the folder Licenses, and this is where you paste the license
10. when you open the plugin again it should be working and good to go, and you can do this similar process for all the other XLN plugins on Audioz
11 (facultative) - if you're on LOGIC, keep re-validating the plug-in.
