Wavetable
Immediately playable, infinitely capable, Wavetable is a new synthesizer built by Ableton. Shape, stretch and morph sounds using wavetables derived from analog synths, and a range of other instruments and sounds. Start sculpting sounds right away—even without a deep knowledge of synthesis—or explore its rich palette and potential through an intuitive interface.

Echo
Echo brings together the sound of classic analog and digital hardware delays in a single device—your new go-to delay. Drive and shape sounds with its analog-modeled filters, turn up the noise and wobble for vintage imperfections, or add modulation and reverb to create diffuse soundscapes, wailing feedback and more.

Drum Buss
Drum Buss is a one-stop workstation for drums, capable of adding subtle character or bending and breaking drums to your will. Add warmth and distortion with drive and crunch, take control of dynamics with compression and transient shaping, dial in and tune boom and control bass decay with the dedicated low end section.

Pedal

Noobish question, how would I go about getting them to work side by side? Will it delete preferences and and saved projects from Live 9? How do install to have them work side by side? TIA

Just install to a different folder. for example if 9.7 is installed in C:\Ableton\Suite 9
installing this version in C:\Ableton\Suite 10 works too. when its finished and you launch the program, it'll automatically save your preferences and index db to another folder in AppData\Roaming

Yes, a list would be nice, but maybe in a different special post!
Ableton works in rewire as both master and slave. However, as slave it only works with its internal plugins. The VST's don't work in slave mode. At least that's how it was until and including version 9.

about the S/M in Live, i see...one could start cubase.. then Live.. live will obey, start, stop, etc, while being used as a 'big' plugin inside cubase. if that works, even without being able to load 3rd party vst/vsti in Live, it would already be great.

I used to run cubase and have reason enslaved, to have some tools like reason's drummachine (perfect to quickly create a beat and then preview other samples with the same beat).

never had the chance to play with live, but this v10... yummy.... if it can run as a slave, it would be the ultimate daw: having all the great cubase features and powerful midi tools... while having Live10 and its full-screen spectrum analyser, the great sample player(play a loop and search for different variations by moving the cycle marker), the max4live stuff, the new wavetable synth, etc etc.

my opinion : most of the time people love a daw for some features and hate it because x daw can do better/other things. with the +10 daws available, WHY NOT use the rewire feature, and get the best from both worlds, with a cubase-> reason, Live->FL studio, Live-DPerformer, Cubase->FL studio, etc etc.

Each DAW used a different approach in implementing rewire and rewire is an old technology and not priority for Propellerhead.
For example, FLS is a multi-window DAW with lots of keyboard shortcuts most of which is critical for navigating around. when you rewire it as slave, nothing works as usual. it just adds more headache.

in my experience, Live and Reaper are OK with each other but still rewire is not a perfect technology. we need something like Audiobus on iOS with regular updates.

Installed fine here. Win 10 x64 I didn't burn the iso I just extracted it in winrar and installed. Thanks r2r and funtime on a great release!!

it doesn't work for me on windows7 64bit ! the program installs quite right but when I launched it said "cannot start for 'blah blah blah .dll' is missing !!!

I had the exact same problem, you can't get past it unless you update windows 7, which I think you don't want to do. So I installed windows 10 just for this and guess what, live 10 installed but it crashes every time on loading. No vst's or anything, just when I open it I get "A serious program error has occurred. Live will shut down after this message box is closed."

Ok. On Windows 10 Pro x64 it would not install for me and threw errors. That wasbecause PowerISO was opening the .iso. I tried using PowerISO to extract and copy files to another location and still errors. I tried opening .iso with Windows and still had same errors. However, I finally got it to work and install, and that was by extracting the .iso with 7zip. It then installed fine and now all works fine. Installed aside my 9.7.5 and picked up all my settings, VST locations, custom folder locations etc.

However, so far it does seem quite clunky compared to 9.7.5 in that it takes a while to open up and then takes a while when loading in instruments etc. Anyone else noticed that?

And no, it's not my computer, as I have a Core i7 4960X 6 core/12 thread CPU with 64GB RAM, GTX 970 Ti and SSDs, so it plenty powerful enough to expect to open a single instrument quickly on a new and empty Ableton project window.

Ok, sorry, I got too excited haha it worked for me before because I had an old Live 9.x.x patch but the file disappeared and I was never able to find it again

I just created a patcher for the "Live" file for mac by a Search & Replace from the 9.7.5 unpatched and patched executable. If the algo hasn't chenged from v9 it should work. Patching the patterns and using the current license maker from R2R.... Let's see if it works. Waiting for a Mac user to arrive. :)

But they are available after i restart Ableton 10 again.
So you register it, then close Ableton and restart Ableton then it shows up at my side at least.

In other words, if you become a millionaire by winning the lottery you will most likely spend it on unreasonable shit. You picked a number and won some money overnight. Easy peazy lemon squeezy. But if you become a millionaire by collecting pennies (obviously takes a very long time & a lot of patience) you will develop a sense of gratitude for that wealth because of all the time and patience put into getting it.
