When you first authorize it you seem to get that until you relaunch it. then it just fixes itself and shows the new instruments and effects. Try that.

Can someone please explain why no max for live devices will load in beta 12? I don't even have any options for max in the Ableton 12 preferences. I have ableton 11 suite and all my devices are working just fine in that separate installation. Do you have to install something extra to get max for live in Ableton beta?

I found the answer to the max for live problem. You can change the version of Live in installation.cfg in the root folder with the Ableton exe to "Suite", install max for live essentials, and then everything worked fine and the program even registers it as Ableton Live 12 Suite when you start the program.

hi anyone have issue with fonts on max for live devices? they are not properly using ableton sans. both the fonts of the devices and fonts inside max application turn into serif font.

This all worked and installed ok for me. I’m really not sure about 12 I personally think they have way over complicated the plugin section this also is a bit laggy with my favourite plugins and is it me or does the cpu drain seem a lot higher than 11? Maybe I will get used to it but for the time being it’s back to the latest version of 11 I’m not feeling it

When I'm dragging the authorization file onto ableton it says that the file is not correct for the current machine.. PLEASE HELP!!
