Well as it seems nobody has actually commented on whether it works or not:

It works fine on Windows 10 latest update on Studio One, Ableton, Cakewalk, Sequoia15, SoundForge, Audition and Samplitude.

like it or not, this plugin is more versatile then pro -q.
at least in terms of types of curves you can make.
In plugin doctor, I simply can't replicate Acustica Diamond 3th band frequency response with pro Q without enormous amount of bells and shelves, and this eq does it no problem.

People get too emotional about plugins they use, its just a tool. Better is as objective as it is subjective so if you get the results with slate and not with pro q then in your case slate was the more useful tool.
