Softube Weiss MM-1 Mastering Maximizer v2.5.9-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 01 Jan 2021 | 20.4MB
Loudness done right.
Based on the legendary Weiss DS1-MK3, the centerpiece of mastering studios the world over (and also now available as a Softube plug-in), we’re delighted to offer the future of fast and professional mix maximizing — the MM-1 Mastering Maximizer.

Featuring the very same algorithms as the original digital hardware unit, the MM-1 offers five flavours of limiting; transparent, loud, punch, wide, and deess; intelligently progressing as the ‘amount’ knob turns, and blendable with the mix control, to give you precisely the right amount of power over the feel of your masters.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

* No iLok Driver is required to run.

Never heard of this plugin before but it seems to be popular here.
I guess that means it must be good.

Softube claim this Weiss bundle to be a code port of the digital Weiss DS1-MK3 mastering processor, meaning it sounds identical to the hardware, cause the latter is digital and they just copied the code from there.

thank you for all that you have done. To the teams and to the administrators and moderators of the page. Really in such a difficult year, these gifts that they give us all is amazing, I did not believe in Santa Claus, but now I do believe, it is you. Thank you forever for everything.

PD : Happy New Year! all the best!

The most transparent Limiter I've ever come across to for quick limiting. I can see this is becoming my favourite limiter to use in the track and buses in the future where I previously used IK Multimedia Stealth Limiter for its transparency. This is like moving your track fader up without clipping. No artifact whatsover. The styles also super helpful especially the "Wide" selection with its MS limiting, many limiters can theoretically do this, none can do it with just one knob with this kind of transparency. One style selection isn't enough ? USE TWO of this MM1 in serial, but only crank the gain on the second one. Im impressed, give it a try!
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

Badass Maximizer. It replaced Ozone 9 Maximizer and PA Masterdesk for me...and that says a lot in my book.

It's transparent yet brings analog grit to the mix at the same time.

How can it bring "analog grit" to the mix, if it's based on a purely digital limiting algorithm? Even the hardware has no analog processing going on at all. I guess human perception is really susceptible to cognitive bias and delusion.

Is it safe to use these "public trial versions" or do I risk compromising my system to malware?

Hi all, This Softube VST and others from Softube R2R are not working for me, I don´t know why, I have a i7 PC with 16Megas RAM with Windows 10 but for some how when I tried to load on Reaper they freeze OR turn Reaper down, any advise ? I really wanted to test this/these VSTs ?

Have tried 4 softube plugins in Reaper, ProTools & Bitwig. Not working at all. Seems that it has something to do that they are all 64 bit versions...

Not gonna lie, I tried out the Weiss stuff and I still greatly prefer the Finalizer app. You can get much, much louder without it distorting and have so many additional tools like EQ's, compressors, and stereo-wideners you can add onto the master. It's an extra step having to render out the unlimited mix, but it's more than worth it. imo.

Where can we find that App?
