that's because you supposedly 'need' the hardware to operate it.
here's a discussion debating the use without it...

Many thanks for this bundle!
One question: Is it possible to only install single plugs you want? I have some AiR versions that works just fine, so don't want to mess them up. Cheers!!

It is but it's a bit complicated. Install them in a virtual machine OS and then transfer the plugin dlls you want to your main OS. It's actually rather simple when you have a VM OS set up.

This solution could be a bit simpler for you: install them somewhere out of your VST folder and then transfer the plugin dlls you want into your VST plugins fodler.

Thank you!!! I can confirm all working on my Windows 8 Laptop on Sonar X3e. It does include Console 1 and this also works, however if you are using a laptop it's pretty useless as the GUI is tiny. But it works. Simple install. Thanks again.

Thanks for the release, but it doesn't work on my Windows 10 (anniversary update) 64-bits. That say "Fatal Error : Couldnt open Setup.exe". In Windows 8 compatibilty mode, admin mode, or not.

Any suggestion ?

Try copying the installer at the root of one of your hard drives.
I had this problem and For some reason I dont understand the installer only worked if executed from the root.

Ok, i tried to start the Setup from two drives, including C:\, but the result is the same here. Also if i increase the access rights to the file. Maybe it is an incompatibility with the last big Window update...

Doesn't work on SO3 in Windows 10, every plugin crashes
  Member 29.09.2016 3

Solution found on the web:

1. Get SoundToys
2. Put Effect rack on a random track
3. Now they shouldn't crash anymore

This is legit - thanks MrMustacchio

How the hell did you figure that one out MrMustacchio? So random but it totally worked for me, no crash and ALL plugins were scanned into Ableton. Loaded SoundToys>Dacapitator into Ableton. Win10pro64bit

Thank you sir. +1

I've no idea! I found this solution in a audiosex thread, but can't find it right now

Oh Man! Thank you, MrMustacchio.

I'm so glad that I came back to read this thread. I just got a new laptop, obviously all new machines comes with Win 10 pre-loaded. None of the Softube plugs would work for me. After reading this thread, I installed AudioUTOPIAs "SoundToys 5" bundle.
Yay!
Now the Softube plugs work.

To take things a teensy bit further, I've found that you can actually disable the SoundToys plug-in after adding it to a DAW project, but you MUST ADD A SOUNDTOYS PLUG-IN FIRST, before trying to fire up a Softube plug-in. At least this methodology is working for me in Win 10 (home x64) using Studio One Pro 3.x, Mixcraft 8.x and Live 9.x.

Hello Sniv,
I've tried this with the same OS on Mixcraft 8.x also, and Mixcraft never gets past the scanning stage, it crashes before opening. How did you set up the Soundtoys to get this to work? Thanks.

OK, got it working by running DAW in Win 8 mode just to get the DAW to scan the plugins without crashing before it could open. But before that I had to open the DAW's plugin blacklist file and delete the Softubes from the list. Then open DAW in Win 8 mode. Once they were scanned in Win 8 mode, close the DAW and reopen in normal Win 10 mode. Seems to work except the Soundtoys trick is still required. Interestingly, when in Win 8 mode, I didn't need to add a Soundtoys plugin to get the Softubes to work.

lol this was interesting, thanks for the tip. Also if anoyone has problems with LPX480 complete release after loading any soundtoys plug it starts working aswell.

The 2.3.76 version has some great fixes:
"Fixed an issue with the Gain reduction meter.
Windows: Fixed an issue that could limit the amount of different Softube plug-ins you could use in a DAW or cause Pro Tools to fail to scan some plug-ins.
Windows: Fixed an issue where trying to run VST3 plug-ins with a missing license could cause exceptions.".

Is there anything known about AudioUTOPiA dropping this next version...? :)

Hey guys
Thank you very very much for this nice release.
dropped the first plugin and wooooaaaah.

PROTOOLS 12.5 Audiotopia:
I can add the VST plugins with Bluecat Patchwork. And i can use the presets. Out of the box.
This works

Ableton:
Trick with SoundToys worked too. But you have to add a SoundToys plugin in every new session. When you load a Softube Plugin without Soundtoys it still crashes.
Thanks :)

Thank you :)

Absolutely. You get 555MB of x64 plugins installed of which there's about 545MB of graphics and 10MB of DSP code.

In a nutshell, when you buy these plugins you pay for the graphic design. All those photoshoppers have to earn their daily bread, eh?

I just installed these and it seems to works correctly
( no bug what so ever ) Win7 x64 - Ableton Live 9.7 x64.

But im wondering if this is an issue since i've never used those.
For each plug-ins : if i click setup,
it says : "some settings require a DAW restart !"

It's interesting to note that in StudioOne Pro 3.x, I don't even have to instantiate a SoundToys plug-in within the current song. I can create a new song, throw any of the AudioUtopia "SoundToys" plugs into it - open any other song, or create another new song - and the Softube (AudioUTOPIA) plug-ins work just fine.
