The core of frei:raum is a fully interactive equalizer with state of the art mastering quality. Each band can either be used in classical mode for manual EQing, or in the unique "smart" mode, offering automatic detection and removal of problematic resonances in different frequency bands.

Got your spectral balance right but some frequency ranges still sound blurred and lack presence? That's where the proximity EQ of frei:raum comes into action.
With a few clicks, you can easily adjust the relation of direct sound and reverb within any frequency range. Use the prxomity EQ for reverb reduction and flexible dereverberation - or to increase the natural "diffuse sound" of your recording.

Unlimited (a)tonality – entropy EQ

Turn up picking sounds and play with the sharpness of your snare drum! Perfect, nice clear sound but still not "tight" enough? Get your hands on the fabulous, new entropy EQ! By separating tonal components (e.g. sustained notes) from inharmonic parts (e.g. drum attacks), the entropy EQ can be used to freely adjust the tonal characteristics of your sound at any given frequency.

So you organize your plugins after manufactors?
I organize after "type" i.e all EQ plugins in the EQ folder all Compressors in Compressor folder all Delays in Delay folder etc etc.
There is very few of us left who organize plugins in that way nowadays some years ago it was more common.
It is You and I and Catalyst and some few more.
Well you just have to read comments in here especially in the Waves topic most people just wants to click click click as fast as possible and it shall work.

i got the same error (x86), until i've renamed the .dll to "Freiraum EQ"...
dont ask me why but it's the only suitable solution that i've found...

Maybe a little bit of 'CCleaner' or a similar Program can help you (?)
Not necessarily for this Release, of course, but from time to time, it worth to run
such 'Cleaner' Programs, mainly when many Programs or Plugins are installed for trials,
or that you use your HDs intensively...

my desktop pc is as clean as a whistle. ccleaner every other day, no networking, o&o defrag once a week etc.

this is the first time ive had a problem installing anything. the problem seems to be with the r2r keygen. i entered the command prompt manually and it worked fine, its only a block on a web address anyway.

have you all got it running in x86?

Nope Since I 'jumped' to a '64bit' OS, I exclusively use the '64bit' Versions of the Plugins,
apart if only the '32bit' Versions are available, and in this case, I use 'jBridge' to get
these available within all the '64bit' DAWs that I use regularly...

Do you have access to it or not, I mean, can you open that provided 'KeyGen' or it's eventually blocked by some 'Anti-Virus' you're using ?
This question is in relation with some 'AntiVirus' that are very sensitive, then these not allow you to even open a particular 'KeyGen'.
If it's your case, simply make an exception for that 'KeyGen' the time to use it.
All the 'KeyGens' of 'Team R2R' are safe, but as mentioned, some 'AntiVirus' (e.g. 'AVG')
are extremely sensitive ...to not say 'paranoid' !!!

ive been using warez since way back in IRC days. i know how to run a system solidly.

this is a problem with the keygen on some setups - #error37 (followed by random characters)
the command prompt works but is only needed to add a block to the network.

So far it seems like a very transparent eq.. it has so many features need to read the manuals..

the key will only work on the pc its made on

thanks for all the info Studio 555 dont no myself whats going on with the keygen it will work on some pc but not others ,my x64 has administrator off so all programs run as administrator but on the x86 pc its on and every program has to ask to run,

but did you manage to make the plug work?
the keygen here turns on and yes it's got that soothing music. hehe. but as far as patching the file, no cigar. it returns frei:raum could not load properly, license server unreacheable...
win 8.1. x64 is acting up now. can't remember the last time it failed me. except for the soundtoys 4.1.8....
damned windows. i'd switch back to win 7 if it wasn't so buggy and slow...

This is really a nice plugin, but still has some bugs like sometimes you cant reset the smart filters so u have to reload to reset, i think its not a plugin for using in master channel cause its a performance monster while scanning the smart filters.

installed like R2R described, works on x64 : Win 8.1 Cubase 8

Aha then you need to install the drivers i guess.

I am so f*****n angry at developer that do "you must be online" thing i bought a plugin some years ago and after the latest update i have to install a "licence detector" program and confirm online that my plugin is "regged" i have e-mailed them and said i dont want to configure my pc for internet it worked before it shall work NOW!!
The answer i got is buy an ilok usb key and buy the ilok version i wrote back NO WAY i gonna pay for it twice.
I got an e-mail back sorry cant help you.
They simply force me to go online (or pay for the plugin again and also buy an usb key) with my studio PC thats so lame fortunately i still have the old version on a spare disc that work without internet so i can go back but i should not have to do that.
