Melodyne is a software application for OS X or Windows with which you can edit audio in a more musical way than was ever thought possible. In Melodyne, you work with notes – and not with a meaningless wave form. You don’t just see where the music gets louder or quieter but also where notes begin and end and at what pitch they lie.

You can modify each note and thereby influence directly the intonation, phrasing and dynamics – and do this not only with vocals and monophonic instruments but with polyphonic instruments such as pianos and guitars as well.

Working with Melodyne is like being able to say to a vocalist β€œsing this note a bit longer” or to a pianist β€œgive slightly less weight to the third in this chord” – hours, weeks, even years after the recording session.

quote by CatalystWould appreciate any Mac members feedback on whether this can be unpacked properly. I might have to call in HY2ROG3N our resident unpacking expert. If you read this I'm just busting your balls a little, don't take it personally.

Hi there! Thanks for this amazing release! I installed all the files but i don't really know what "3.Give the *.app to specific permission. " means, and i can work with melodyne in ableton, but i can't open it as a standalone... anybody help please?

Use something like Permissions Reset, drop app in it, set everything to "Read, Write & Execute" click "set", enter your admin pass and voila

I have reset permissions with batchmod and have installed it. The plugins and the app seems to work fine but whenever I hit Transfer on LPX it crashes after 2 seconds... anyone having the same issue??

if I am not mistaken, this Melodyne version should complete the Presonus Studio One v2.6 system. So to extend Studio One's capabilities with best elastic audio features right at on the track, and your finger tips

Working fine here (MacOS 10.8.5) after editing app's permissions with Permissions Reset. Not a problem unzipping it (is there such a word?) either.

same here: i needed to use Permissions Reset, otherwise the .app would not open

Here we go

Extract the archive you downloaded, if you have problem with that, just look at some comments, about actual extraction.

"Melodyne Singletrack" folder that can be founded in Applications folder within your extracted archive goes to, Applications directory on your mac, so move it there.

Following the path of second folder called "Library" will leads us here:
MacHD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Rewire, that's the final destination for the two files we found in extracted archive following similar steps (just opening them further) and their names are "MelodyneReWireDevice.bundle" and "ReWire.bundle", move those two in location we founded before on your HD.

Next we got "Plugins" folder within our extracted archive and 4 different files that lead to four different places, to reach that place we gonna go this path:

MacHD/Library/Audio/Plugins and there they are, if you are using AU's than place "Melodyne.component" into "Components" folder, if you are using vst's in Live, than "Melodyne.vst" in "VST" folder.

holy crap! thanks a mil for taking the time!! for some reason it does not appear in the vst folder in live, but the AU is there so iΒ΄ll be using that!
again, thanks a lot
