Sequoia v12.1.1.129 (DC2) x32 & x64

I said in an earlier post there isnt anything in Sequoia that a typical home studio user is going to find that isn't in Samplitude. Equally theres no real difference if yoou get Sequoia either. Most people use about 10% of the functionality in whatever DAW they use, but spend hours flaming other DAW users over feature sets they never actually need.

Rex2 would be nice. But then again Stylus RMX is easily the best rex2 player there is, so why bother. Id rather hack midi into rmx than pissabout with slices any day.

Why does code go off because it gets old? Why does code get better cause it's new? Seems a bit like magical thinking to me.

If your reading this you can have a dozen different DAWs and more without any effort, just a bit of bandwidth. Use what you like. Make music. Who cares about the other guy?

to install this version of sequoia, I get the following error:

Source file not found: C:\Users\XXXX\Desktop\Sequoia.v12.1.1.129.DC2.x32.x64-REPT\01 Sequoia12 Setup\Product\_k9sibs0.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Error code 1311

If you have encountered this problem, what to do?
note:
when I unzip the file uncommon, I get a folder, not an image disk,
as the previous version.

if u mean the update setup files? i would go to samplitude.com register for free and once u log in then DL the update from thier site and update ur release and apply the pre patched exe and DLLs. hope that helps u

bluenote: if you are getting this, it may be that the .nfo file for this release is not totally correct regarding the installation of the program. first, it says "1. Install the program." and that is all. what you REALLY need to do for step 1 instead is this: Run Sequoia12_setup.exe, Select installation type: Custom - now deactivate all other program components, except the first entry: "Sequoia 12" and then let it install. then you can continue with the rest of the setup instructions.

This not working here. I can't find a patch - only an ISO file. When I install that I get a dialog box with enter serial, buy or try.

ALERT- If you are running Windows 8 RTM X64 ( Final same thing)

After finishing everything on the steps, install, update then patch.

DO NOT RUN THE PROGRAM YET!!

You may get the serial input when you run Sequoia in case you do
DO THIS FIRST

Go into your Sequoia installation dir
Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\MAGIX\Sequoia_x64.exe

Right click the Sequoia_x64.exe and click properties then click "COMPATIBILIY" on that screen set it to WINDOWS 7 and set to Run as administrator at the bottom click "Change Settings for all users" and in the menu that opens DO THE SAME AS BEFORE then click apply

Now when you run Sequoia the serial number screen is no longer there.

for the fanboys : you really think studio people fight over daws? they dont give a damn. they use whatever makes the job done at best.

i use ableton live, pro tools hd, sequoia and my favourite : reaper. they all brilliant, but just a tool. pro tool ;)
