This, The Famous E. & The Canterbury Suitcase all bases covered for that Rhodes sound, modern & classic. Thanks R2R / Witches

Curious if this is better for rhodes than Keyscape? Any thoughts?

My personal opinion, but I've tested pretty much all the available options out there, and this one is the better sounding. Lots of people like the lizard ep4, but I find it soulless and synthetic. After this one I would probably say Mark79 by Acoustic Samples, Arturia's Stage-73 V and finally Keyscape. But again, this is just a personal opinion and others will differ.
You will not be forgotten, Olymoon.

No. Keyscape gives you much more variety of sounds/models from modern to vintage compared to this one. This one is simply more detailed, but it's just a single model so if the sound doesn't immediately capture your ears and your heart you're not going to get much use of the library.

Im'a gonna say'a this'a one'e takes'a all de cake'a

- regarding a Fender Rhodes EP anyway.

Simply Phenomenal. If you have this and a decent MIDI controller you do not need the box-o-tynes at all.

This thing can sound like ANY Rhodes EP you have ever heard anywhere. All the control is there just like if you had the big bulky box-o-tynes. With control over Dampers, pickups, and tyne's (just like if you had the big box), plus all the effects just like the big box makes this a killer of any other Rhodes VST anywhere.

Kind of a heavy-weight regarding data footprint but I don't think it would sound like a replacement for the box-o-tynes if it wasn't a data heavy-weight. You get this one and you really do not need any other Rhodes EP VST's. You can probably just uninstall them all.

It's true that there is something good in this piano. BUT : what is this gate that activates and deactivates with a so noisy sound ? No solution to disable this ?
So OK we can tinker with everything in every way (except the gate..,?) But is that what you would do with a real Rhodes? No information on loading the sound bank, latency when attacking the first note, this horrible gate, no standalone....Some updates are expected before this becomes the ultimate tool. Anyway, for $100 it's still a very good piano.

Edit : I uninstalled everything then reinstalled everything and this strange gate disappeared...

I got the UAD rhodes few month ago, sound amazing, is it worth to get this one too ?

I genuinely didn't want to like the UAD Rhodes, but I have to say, out of all of them, including the usual suspects (as well as this Rhodes 8), it's my favourite. I find the core sound of the UAD to be what I LIKE the most in comparison to other Rhodes emulations. That isn't to say I don't like others (sample based or not). They all have their strengths, and that isn't to say that this one isn't capable (due to the editing of the sound aspects of tines etc.) of sounding like I want it to, but it's natural core sound isn't my personal favourite. It's all subjective though.

Very nice.

19.8gb on ext drive.

Library load times are negligible, no progress bar needed.

Flawless install, this is a. game-ending upgrade to many Rhodes emus.

Way to bring it home Witches...Thank You so Much!!!

Found a bug when using in Bitwig. Either it's a bug present in the official release or it's a form of timebomb in R2R. I am able to reproduce it 100%.

Saved settings/preset of V8 Pro will not recall entirely when opening a session if you previously saved/closed that session with the V8 Pro GUI open. If the GUI is closed down, it'll save and recall properly I think? There are alot of parameters to keep track of so it's hard to catch.

It's super weird because the settings/patch will sort of "half way recall" but random parameters are set to default instead of recalling to where they were. It's really odd behavior and is kinda making me think "timebomb" right?

If you save your settings as a preset, then toggle to a new preset, then back to the one you saved, it seems to recall that just fine.

Can anybody confirm if it behaves this way in other DAWs?

Update: To fix the settings recall issue, open the Rhodes V8 Pro VST3 in Bluecat's Patchworks Synth host. Something to do with delaying the order of operations/timing of the V8 opening in a session fixes it bugging out recalling where all the settings were at in a saved session.

You are gonna hate me but IΒ΄ve just compared to Keyscape and I prefer that one.
Besides, you get much more sound variants and the other Keyscape electric pianos which are amazing.

This sounds/feels pretty much spot on the same. crazy.
On sale now as well, so I think Im buying this one.
Dont see that i will need another classic rhodes after this one.

Hey this is my first time downloading a file in separate parts, and I was just wondering how do I go about setting all of the files up
  Resident 2.02.2017 593

Just put them in the same folder, open any one of them end click extract,
Winrar or whatever software you're using should do the rest for you.
