Why switch it? The terms "it sounds better" is just BS. Any other 64bit-processing DAW sounds the same. Sequoia's stock plugins may sound nice, but there are equal or eeven better out there - i'm absolutely sure!

Reaper & external plugin selection is all you'll ever need :)

Guys, I'm facing issues to get this run. I followed the instruction as per .NFO but still getting the Dongle error that code meter is missing although I installed it.

CodeMeter is not required. All you need is the R2R-WAIFU v1.8 emulator.

It works for me (and many others), so it should work for you:

1. install WAIFU Emulator v1.8.0.
2. install Sequoia Pro v17.1.0.24216. (Don't start.)
3. install Patch v.17.1.1.24218. (Don't start.)
4. replace Sequoia_x64.exe in the program directory.
5. replace DDP_Player.exe.
6. copy the "Protein" folder into the Sequoia program directory. (The folder with the files in it, not just the files themselves!)
A. to activate the beta functions, copy the "Enable" files into the program directory, if desired.
B. You can delete the CodeMeter installed by Sequoia from your computer.
7. Done!

If it fails, it may be that your virus scanner has devoured the protein files!?

Do you mean the "Enable" files in the "Magic-Extra" folder? There is nothing to activate there! Once you have copied the files into the program directory, the features are available.
If you want to mix in surround, I strongly recommend that you delete the two files "EnableDev17_XFeatures" and "EnableNewSurroundPan". The "new" surround pan is terrible. The old one is better and more flexible and comprehensive.

Thanks to the magic of R2R, Sequoia 17 can now handle Dolby Atmos natively. At least in theory. It seems to have everything you need: ADM tool, internal Dolby Atmos renderer, etc. However, it doesn't work for me. The Atmos renderer does not load. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for all the "hidden features". So the only way is "trial and error". In general, these "beta features" seem to be quite rudimentary. Nothing like the Atmos integration in Nuendo, for example. I can hardly believe that these are supposed to be new features. It looks more like a patch job from 2016. No wonder MAGIX hiding it from normal users.

Still, I want to get Atmos working with Sequoia. The MPEG-H plugin work. So Atmos should work too ...

Wonderful achievment from R2R.

A couple of bugs and a (Magix) complaint:
1. The extra beta activators block editing the surround pan editing window, unless I am missing some switch to toggle it back on. Deleting the beta activators and all is good again.
2. Magix STILL hasn't fixed the parallel mode in the surround panner. It worked fine thru v13, but ever since something screwed up and apparently nobody, except yours truly, has noticed. It is very useful for unorthodox positioning of the output icons and producing interesting pan effects. If anybody knows how to contact MAGIX (I have tried with no success), tell them to look at the surround parallel mode, try to change the position of the L and R signal icons.
Complaint: WHY o WHY do they use that ridiculous VST listing procedure??? It doesn't keep track of the directories where you might put your plug-ins, i.e. Reverbs, Delays, Dynamics, EQ, etc. They are all listed in alphabetical order, with none of the functional distinctions that the directories make. Reaper keeps track of separate plug-in directories, old Samplitude did also. Progress???
And you still can't use third party surround plug-ins like major reverbs - Exponential Audio, Reverb Foundry - and surround delay outputs like Slapper et al. argh. OK, so it's two complaints.
But it is still the very best and most flexible DAW for editing, constructing and other essential tasks. Thanks to R2R for making available a very expensive piece of software that individual users can hardly afford.

Hi everyone. I think everyone who uses version 17, noticed that the two skins that come with the kit are just awful. Is there any possibility to transfer a skin, for example Camo, from the 15th version of the program?
