Acustica Audio Graphite 2023-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 17 Sep 2024 | 67.1MB
Designed by Acustica with N4 library developer SoundDrops, the Graphite bass amp emulator is fully endorsed by GR Bass, one of the most innovative and dynamic Italian manufacturers of bass amplifiers and cabinets.

This is the first Acqua Plugin product in VST, VST3, AAX, AU format fully dedicated to the needs of bassists, and is one of the most authentic and modern-sounding bass amp plugins on the market today.

What You Get

Graphite includes:

Emulation of the GR Bass One head
Emulation of the AT 212 (2x12") bass carbon fiber cabinet, sampled with four different classic microphones, each one selected and placed by pro audio experts.

Key Features

Elfo Recording Studios offered a fascinating live room environment thanks to their high-profile functional design. Its excellent acoustics and a natural, balanced reverberation in its frequency response helped to enhance the incredible sound of the sampled equipment.
Precise, incredibly accurate sampling.
A careful selection of the four sampled microphones: an American dynamic microphone (model 57), an American ribbon microphone (model R10), a German FET condenser microphone (model 47) and a German dynamic microphone (model 421).
Carefully chosen microphone positions during the sampling process.
Optimization of the product during the development phase, with the goal of ensuring low consumption of CPU; interaction with the plugin in a natural way with minimal latency, without affecting the sound quality.

Claretta says,

Library is completely decrypted, decompressed, DRM related bloat removed, and built to the clean one.

Tested the ZL version right away just to see what CPU looked like and it was below 1.7% in Reaper with a buffer size of 12 samples. That's crazy good (for an AA plugin). Can be used for live tracking.

Here's what is strange, R2R hasn't released a fix for................

Many AA trials and early fixed releases by AA themselves are filled with broken features. A lot of the trials you can't even authorize. They don't roll out the bug fix for most of their trial versions for some reason. I am not saying the witches didn't made an oopsie, just a possibility to consider.

This is all documented in AA's own google doc and their forum release threads.

Not R2R's mistake. It's AA's products are buggy af
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

Most of mates making requests here has more than a year in this home, witches, wizards, supplyers, contributors & releasers does not enjoy this, I wonder why is so hard to understand? Unsenseless verb battles every day 'cause of this instead of contributions, why?

Folks are just excited - you can't blame them. Especially when everyone is on the same page for the one they are anxiously waiting for. Other than that, I'm going to give this plugin a whirl and see what it brings to the table.

I don't need it, but downloaded it just for the collection haha:)

Same. Two months ago, I switched to Windows after 20 years of Macintosh. I'm building my plugin library again on my machine. With that, has come the itch to download everything that's available. It's unhealthy, lol.

I'm not sure if it's just me but both VST and VST3 crash Reaper 7 on Windows 11. I tried on a working project and a completely blank project, with the same results. Anyone else having issues?

I only use the VST version where possible it loads in faster in my case but so far I experienced no crash. Did the same thing as you and loaded in a black session as well as a busy session no crashes as of yet... Very weird.

I think I'm too old, because I don't notice great performances in the AA plugins. Maybe I'm going deaf.

51 comments and not a single one is about the bit rate. That was actually the topic par excellence when the first Acustica wave came along. Is this our old problem with the releases again, that there is only 44.1 and 96 khz?

In the folders I can see 48khz

How there are crybabys here. I'm not a bass player, I don't know if there is a better plugin, but the bass got better, not just louder, but even gained a certain three-dimensionality, of course, Nebula does this better. My laptop is old and ran very well, very low CPU consumption. Yes, there is a lot of snake oil in AA, but this is very reasonable. Thanks R2R, please don't stop with the AA releases...
