Softube Model 84 Polyphonic Synthesizer v2.5.67 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 2023.12.31 | 49.4 MB
From 1980s lushness to the modern Synthwave revival, this keyboard’s musical performance helped it achieve icon status. Carefully emulated to match this performance, the Model 84 offers the same well-known sounds, unique features of the original hardware (including 2 poly modes), and fresh innovations.

Softube poured the same energy into modeling the Model 84 as they do every piece of gear, offering voice allocation modes, a meticulously recreated unison phase, and an EQ—with bass boost for extra oomph—that let you achieve the sounds that made the original synth an industry touchstone.

Get authentic sound without fussing with knobs. Model 84 comes packed with classic sounds, original patches, distorted basses, and the Synthwave heard on many classic and contemporary albums, plus incredible artist presets that range from retro sounds to modern, fat, wide, and crispy leads.

Get ’80s mojo in the digital domain—your way. Extended unison mode lets you control sync and enables a more pronounced attack, velocity and aftertouch support offer a more dynamic performance, and added velocity and aftertouch parameters in the expanded control panel can easily fine-tune sound and behavior.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This is Splice Rent-To-Own version of Softube. The protection difference is that original version uses WrapWarden and iLok while Splice version uses its own licensing with Ed25519 signature. Both binaries are protected by MetaFotress, which can be regarded as the most difficult part.

quote by zellersIt is not "by far" better. You are biased. You are talking about things you can't possibly know (because you don't have the source code + schematics). Ears alone are subjective.

The furthest I would go is say that I have a feeling Softube might be more accurate than TAL, only because Softube might be doing more complex modelling. But again, no source code. But Roland's cloud plugins do use circuit simulation and the Jupiter-8 one compared to a real J-8 is correct within acceptable margin of error, so I have to assume their J60/J106 ones have similar results.

All 3 sound good and are worth a look.

First off your logic is like saying, because we have the code , we win! You ever ask yourself why Roland won’t do analog anymore ? Those great developers from Roland are long gone now. The Juno's were not based off of code. Analog is electronics, this ones based off using your ears on how to model the sound correctly. This is NOT a digital board, the only thing digital we're the Oscillators on the 106, that's it! TAL also blows the Roland Cloud stuff away. What planet are you on?

First of all, "what planet are you on", - is that how you talk to people in real life? What a rude response.

Second of all, you're not even replying to my comment, I had to scroll down to see this.

Thirdly, I didn't say J106 is digital. The 'code' I was referring to is the plugin software source code. I was saying if it was open source, its degree of accuracy would be clear. Analog circuits have schematics/blueprints, design documents - that is what I meant by schematic. If you have all the logical circuit design for every component of he hardware, you have a pretty good idea of how it operates. However, many plugin developers take a high-level approach and use their own custom algorithms to "match" behavior based on listening tests - which lends itself to inaccuracy, because you're not taking into account subtle behaviors of the circuits and their interactions and such.

TAL also blows the Roland Cloud stuff away.

You can't prove that in an objective sense, which is my point entirely. That is merely your gut feeling. Therein lies your bias.

Other people who agree with you that Softube is better than Roland Cloud may disagree with you that TAL is also better. You have literally no way of objectively proving this hierarchy of precedence.

If anything, the fact that people wildly disagree on which is 'best', implies that none of them are, and all of them are. Opinions mean nothing. There are people who love Cherry Audio, when there's absolutely no way they could be churning out plugins at the rate they do, without taking shortcuts and compromising on accuracy.

The only objective way to make an accurate recreation of analog hardware is doing extreme research, reverse engineering and actually share the results and data from it all.

DPI mode of what ? Where is that to be found? How to do that?
I am puzzled ! I cannot make it work , do I need to get some Splice device or something first?

As nobody else seemed to mention it, it works fine. Windows 11. Thank you.

For those who has issues decompressing the file;

*Disable temporarily your network card.
*Disable completely Windows Defender, especially Real Time Protection and Cloud Based Protection (just for a while).
*Decompress the file & change the name of the appeared folder(s) to a single letter before go into it.
*Once the synth(s) and their "fix" seems healthy, exclude the "fix" in Windows Defender.
*Re-enable Windows Defender & the network card.

For sure I'm severely dumb, but for me was the only way...

At least this sounds like music somewhat,

compared to the sacrilege of Equator2: Mind-Bending Sounds, which are mind-bending indeed!

Model 84 modules not showing in Softube Modular ....
  Member 1.02.2022 81

If you're using the (2021) R2R version, of course they don't show. That version of Modular was released before the release of this synth. R2R should probably release a newer version of Modular...

Softube has its own plugin standard for things to show up in Modular, but the list is more or less hardcoded in Modular itself. You can see that Modulars knows all the plugins it supports (in a given version) as it shows them ghosted even if you don't have them installed. Yeah, it might only be a small update to the ghost list that's required for this work, but without that... no chance.

Hey, unfortunately I noticed that anytime I launch splice, it will simply break the license of all the rent-of splice products (such as softube, roli equator 2, etc..)

Is anyone familiar with a solution that won't affect these activated softwares due to splice init>?

Yes, facing the same issue, due to splice. Any workaround?

Nah, unfortunately I didn't find any, imagine any time you load Splice, it does a programmatic check of seeing whether a product reg's are done or not, the only way I see it is to release a software that it's whole licensing is not in the default keys but taken to somewhat another place, this way splice won't be sharing the same keys as the otherr.. it makes sense and should be kinda easy for those who already released it, it's just paths to be modified.
