A witch says,

Here is a clean collection of Arturia Sound Banks!

Some of the legit installer does not installs files properly in non alphabetic lenguage OS. This happens because Arturia is using ANSI version of Inno Setup while its file name contains european multibytes characters. In our release, you don't need to care about this issue!

Install:
- Arturia.V.Collection.X.v10.0.0-R2R
- Arturia.Sound.Banks.2023-R2R

Launch Analog Lab V and you would see about 25k presets.

Personally, I don't think there's a musician who would be able to utilise those 25k presets in just one life (even if they live for a century).

Oh I agree!!! But thats not the issue. Even though I'm not gonna utilise 45k presets. I still like the fact knowing that theyre there. Random presets create random happy accidents. & the bigger the pool the bigger the chance of hitting something you might be hip to.

for your information, this presets can only be used with r2r releases (they are not unprotected for legit analog lab for example) and contains only official banks from Arturia.

lol, @Yaniss2n, you're adding a new twist to this... the fellow above says the R2R pack includes 3rd party stuff, you're saying it only has "official banks from Arturia". So, it only took about 2 minutes to go back to being confused.

it's a statement, there are only Arturia banks in this release. And I tested the presets of this release in my analog lab, which is legit, and the presets no longer appeared at all. Fortunately, I had done a back-up the day before after V.R soundbanks

Arturia presets (incl. third party ones for their products) use a licensing mechanism. They have key/signature in every preset file. The R2R version almost certainly replaces the key/signature in the presets with the one used by their ASCEMU. That's why they don't work with the legit version, they are signed with the R2R, not the original Arturia one.

VR (and josenacha etc.) merely crack the plugin dlls/vst3s so they ignore all licensing info/restrictions, on presets included. Which in some ways is more convenient.

LOL me too. I'm just gonna go back to using legit installers + Arturia Patch for ASCEMU2 + manually importing VR full preset bundle.

Hello! So with this distribution, it wouldn't have, for example, the tribute presets to Pink Floyd, and other artists?

VR release banks unprotected and R2R must be used with their own release

I was very enthusiastic at first, but the NFO lacks far too much information, indeed.
We don't really know what it's all about, and no installation dir is indicated in case we want to do it manually, for example.

In my case, the .cmd file was unable to extract all the files and the installation was interrupted after a few seconds, which broke access to the presets and database of certain plugs, such as the entire Augmented series.

So I had to uninstall/reinstall the whole X bundle to solve the problem.
I reinstalled the December VR bundle on top of it and now everything's working properly again.

The only remaining problem is the broken GUI on the Clavinet and Mellotron that won't display but showing an error message instead (using Cakewalk by BandLab), but that can wait until the next update, I suppose.

Similar problem happened here too.

I didn't use cmd file, just copied Arturia folder and paste to ProgramData which had the folder of the same name(There was a message of many files of the same name were already exist in the ProgramData\Arturia while pasting it, and I overwrote them).

The result was not as I expected. The number of presets are greatly decreased(from about 11000 to 2500), and I couldn't access some of the instruments such like several Augmented series... as you mentioned.

I uninstalled the whole thing and deleted Arturia folder manually too, then reinstalled V Collection X only. Now I have 11000 presets and can access all instruments, again.

R2R is a great team, and I awlays thank for all their work, but this release seems to has defects.

Firstly, thanks to all involved. Its amazing to have so much choice.

Ok, so I've installed this and I don't think it shows all the sound banks correctly. For me in Analog Lab, when I looked under the soundbank tab, there's no new banks listed. Ive also tried loading a few different synths eg. like Jup-8v, when I chose the soundbank tab, the new banks are listed, but its missing the thumbnail pics/icons. Ive tried deleteing the db.db3 file located at C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets. But still the issues persist.
I never installed any other present banks from VR before, this was the first soundbank collection I installed. I had previously installed Arturia V Collection X v10.0.0-R2R, beforehand.
Has anyone any ideas how to fix this please?

This package gave me an additional 4800 presets that I didn't have after installing the VR banks. Always backup your presets, samples & shared folder under your Arturia folder.

So this is how I read the comment of R2R.

The official Arturia Collection X installer contains a flaw "because Arturia is using ANSI version of Inno Setup while its file name contains european multibytes characters".

When you use a Windows version that is using the European Multibyte character set (é, è, ë, ö, ò, ó, à, á and â for instance) the installer simply will not install these files (or maybe rename those files wrong) thus we'll get an incomplete list of default presets installed by the official Arturia Collection X installer that Arturia supplies to legit users, which R2R uses for their clean release policy.

So, this released is to rectify an issue Arturia made. R2R is so kind to fix this for us, Also for the legit users apparently. This release needs to be upvoted far more than those great Acustica plugins if you asl me.

You can take the gamble and hope that the V.R Soundbundle release also installs the factory presets with their Sound Banks release, someone can do a compare for instance to know for sure but I'm not taking the bet, or you follow the installation steps:

Arturia Collection X-R2R
Arturia Sound Banks 2023-R2R
Arturia Sound Banks V.R release.

And here's my opinion in regard to things not being clear. This is in no way a pun to the work of V.R but still... V.R is using a name convention for their Arturia Sound Banks release that is incorrect. Why?

V.R releases a Soundbank bundle that isn't known to Arturia. In their Arturia Soundbank Bundle they include the so called "Sound Explorers Collection 2" bundle known to Arturia and a massive load of 3rd party presents. Normally you would release that bundle and all the 3rd party presets one by one but hey, it's total madness of presets collection galore and downloading every single 3rd party soundbank would be resulting in instant depression. I can know because I'm a chronic depression patient and I went to a 3 month session at my psychologist directly after hoarding loads of Serum presets. So for that, I totally forgot to mention this, my thanks go out to V.R to make this bundle possible so I can keep my sanity in check.

So I'm installing everything R2R releases. After that I rename the Arturia folder to Arturia-R2R and install the V.R release. But know I'm going to do something different because I do not know if V.R used the faulty installer too without checking and I do not know if their Soundbank Bundle consists of all factory sounds.

So I will copy everything what's in the Arturi-R2R folder to the Arturia folder, replace everything and all is done. I also move the folder to my D-drive and create a symlink in %programdata% but that's another story.

And what did you discover? I want to install this with Collection X-R2R because with past releases Analog Lab and all other instruments were "missing" samples, which were installed, but I just needed to locate it every time some preset broke (not all presets, just random). It could be this ANSI thing, because all the samples are in the respective folders (%programdata%/Arturia/Samples/...), but Arturia instruments doesn't "see" them.

I'm a firm believer that Cats are cats and dogs are dogs and the two are rarely compatible.
Seems a lot of work for something that ends up being practically the same results. Many, many thanks to V.R. and R2R for all their excellent work over the years. Love you guys.

i think there is something not working well here...at least for me...tried 2 times...clean installation (never installed V.R. Arturias stuff), if i delete db.db3 file the (in)famous file where arturia stocks preset database) Analog Lab regenerate it with 11407 total presets and you can edit the corresponding plugin directly from its window, but next time i open Analog LAb there are 2583 total presets and no possibility to edit/open the synth like before....any other feedback about it?

I have a legit Analog Lab V installed (came with the hardware). I then installed Arturia.V.Collection.X.v10.0.0-R2R and Arturia.Sound.Banks.2023-R2R but I am finding a lot of the presets have a padlock on them with the option to buy them in Analog Lab V. Do I need to ditch the legit version and go with the version in Arturia.V.Collection.X.v10.0.0-R2R or will the VR preset bundle work with my legit analog lab V.

it's something related to ASCEMU2.exe and AcLayers.dll as i can see from windows event viewer...

I am noticing almost the same both with the disappearing presets and the ASCEMU2.exe application errors. If i delete the DB3 file i get 11,000+ factory presets and some of the other sound banks showing (not all and not the same ones each go). However if I then restart Analog Lab V without deleting the DB3 file It then only shows the factory bank and with only 2500+ presets in it.

All the presets and sound banks appear in the individual V Collection instruments just not in Analog Lab V -R2R. If I run the legit Analog Lab V the presets and sound banks show up to purchase which is understandable as they will not be authorized for the genuine app. Has anyone tried them with the VR version of Analog Lab V rather than the R2R version installed with V Collection X.

I usually favor R2R releases, but I in the present case, having tested both installations thoroughly, I think the VR version is clearly better. A few details:
1. R2R release creates dozens of new folders - one for each instrument - inside ProgramData, instead of placing them all under the Arturia folder. VR release creates a single Arturia folder with all instruments inside, and this folder can live either inside ProgramData or anywhere else through a symlink.
2. R2R release has around 20k presets; VR version has +43k presets plus 15k user presets. It must be taken into account, however, that over one third of these presets are from Pigments, which is NOT installed with the VR release and must be downloaded and installed separately.

just to understand... is there anyone who has installed v collection and sound banks by r2r and inside analog lab (opening it 2 times) sees around 11k presets? Thank you

After installing both R2R packages and getting reduced presets on the second opening I then installed the VR preset collection and Analog Lab V now sees all the presets 11K+.

I extracted everything, all the presets are there. But Arturia doesn't recognise the files...

Can't import them to their designated synths. Seems the type of file is just ".file" and not anything Arturia can read.

Anyone else experience this?
