Acustica Audio Ivory 5 2023-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 08 Dec 2023 | 299.6MB
Ivory is a VST/AAX/AU plugin suite that includes 2 equalizers, 2 compressors, 2 dynamic equalizers, and to top it all off, a powerful mastering limiter.

Ivory 5 is a transparent yet extremely musical processing suite that shines on pretty much anything you throw at it. Whether you’re a mastering engineer looking for the utmost control in the studio, or you’re producing and mixing your next big hit and need powerful, versatile tools to shape your subgroups, Ivory has got you covered.

Ivory 5 adds exciting additional features and a new, powerful emulation to your arsenal.

The new upgrades include:

A new SOA control added to the Ivory dynamic EQ, as well as in the stereo version.
All preamps fine-tuned according to the latest industry standards.
Improvements in CPU resources consumption.
Last but not least, a new, powerful mastering limiter.

Ivory 5 MAL-2: The Ultimate Mastering Limiter
Ivory 5 MAL-2 is Acustica's own interpretation of a 2-band peak limiter inspired by a famous mastering dynamics processor from a well-known British manufacturer. Warning: It’s intentionally not a 1:1 copy of the hardware, so don't expect the exact same behavior!
This plugin is the perfect choice to control even the highest peaks if inserted at the end of the audio chain in a traditional way; however, it can also be used as an extreme tone-shaping tool on individual tracks.

To use both limiters, you need to turn on HF; this enables a crossover at 2kHz that splits the incoming signal into two bands, and allows you to work separately on different portions of the spectrum (LF and HF). When β€œHF On” is bypassed, the processor becomes a classic wide-band limiter.

For more information on how to get the most out of Ivory 5, see the user's manual.

For me it's very unusable, I don't know if it's something with my PC but using FL studio 21 + loading session (around 20 channels), all have Pro-eq, I have legion laptop 10th generation i7, I literally load 2 acusticas audio (1 diamond) and 1 this and my projects are stuck, crazy delays literally my pc is on fire..

Anyone feels the same ? maybe it's me not knowing how to properly run it or my PC ..

very true. But i recently switched to reaper and i can run so much more acustica and nebula instances in the session. It feels like i can do everything now. Im officially back on reaper.

Really? Reaper handles performance that much better? :O what were you on before? :)

Reaper really does handle performance that much better at least for me. I was on Studio One before and really thought i settled on it but after I opened an old Session in reaper and tried some Acustica and Nebula stuff i was blown away by how much it could handle. Now I don't have to make any compromises i can run every plugin i want to run in the mix its crazy.

well these are mastering grade plugins so try to use it only on rendered stereo file.

Yes they are mastering grade but it can be used in a mix too. Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor is a famous example its a mastering grade compressor but a lot of people love using it on the Drum Bus in a mix.

quote by pokinarI feel many people hate on AA because of the owner. They don’t like him and thus realllly don’t want to like his plugins. We all know how biased opinions can be in audio world. (i.e. cables for 1k$ sound better than those for 50$).

Blind ABX type tests with fast flip between the examples on the short loop region and precise gain matching = no bias.
Acustica just build a junk for money grab.

Those that think AA is junk and those who don't will never agree.

Much like cilantro or Rush, Lol. it's all a matter of taste.

Please stop arguing about this, as you are only filling up page after page of "comments deleted". Enjoy what AA and R2R have to offer or don't. Let's get back to helping each other become better at using the tools offered here by any contributors rather than pissing on each other's corn flakes constantly......
