I am a legit user, and I am convinced that the new protection have MANY MANY problems, R2R cant obviously solve that

I am confident that C13 could solve many stability issues, lets see

I will try R2R before udpateing though

Cubase (v5, 10, 11 & 12) has always been stable for me. It's usually dodgy plugins that can make it or any other DAW unstable. If you want dodgy/unreliable - Fruityloops still can't cope with most VST3s!

they kept losing customers to DAWs with less stringent protection so they finally scrapped their old systems for something breakable (and presumably much easier to maintain)

Yeah, I mean modern laptops not having a usb port is a problem, let alone having to remember to bring the flipping dongle w/ you. I've been trying c13, and it's a bit of an adjustment. The new "routing" thing and unfamiliar icons will prolly be ok in time. It's still slightly annoying to (still) have to click 2 buttons instead of 1 for (eg) input transformer. But it's good that you can switch vsti and it routes it the same as the one you replaced! Finally! Also hasn't crashed yet, which is a surprise from steinbug! (Admittedly I've run it 3 x, but I'd expect 1 crash =)

And of course steinbug still haven't fixed this "bug" since ~cubase 5! (Is it a steinbug meme at this point? =)

Bro, I am subscribed to Steinberg in three different accounts, and I find out sooner that Cubase v13 is released by R2R than by the Steinberg group xDDDDD. Calm down, this rhythm can't be good for the potato hahahahaha

For this reason, companies like Pro Tools and others, if they want to protect themselves, must choose iLok 3+Fusion and additional Metafortress layers, otherwise you will end up like poor Steinberg, cracked every two weeks. Well done Avid hahaha. And thank you so much R2R! Simply the GOAT!

Steinberg loosen up their protection thats why cubase 12 got cracked by 3 teams, when they still on dongle-elicenser thats different story, cubase/nuendo popularity is going down year by year, less tutorial, less content creator / reviewer, they need more users, poor musicians, bedroom producers. they need to gain more popularity just like the old cubase SX times, so thats why they need crackers to deliver to us. luckily we have R2R version which is better. if piracy really affect their sales, they will learn from cubase 12 and strengthen the protection instead learn from the others, reaper, studio one, ableton, logic and other daw that still kickin to this day even they got cracked every release. its not that hard for giant company like steinberg (yamaha) to tighten up their protection or even pay for the strongest protection, but of course the price is performance issues, more system resources, as they known for instability even for legit user, just my opinion. and avid just too greedy and too proud of their stuff because they well know as industry standard.

Im a LEGAL User and I was not aware I could get it thru the Download assistant I guess its a Public Beta I can wait until Jan 2024 to learn a New Interface I bet R2R fixed bugs already LOL they are the best ....:) love em!!

Its released on the download assistant att 4:30am, its cracked and uploaded with in 2.5 hrs.. make it make since.. ad not just by r2r but vr too and they're uploaded before you take your morning sh!t... what is going on? i dont know but i like it

I think this shouldn't be released, its broken or not ready yet. The menu bar is with big buttons and the inspector on the left is missing all the tabs (inserts, sends etc). And that's all I saw in 2 minutes only...

And for the big buttons... do you happen to have maybe "Window Blinds" installed, or some other program, that changes the taskbar and explorer windows? Because I had the same problem, found out it was the custom skin I downloaded for "Window Blinds", changed it to another one and it was gone.
