Strictly speaking, I don't think it's accurate enough. I hope Roland Cloud feels obligated to come out with a proper one.

But all the people who are easy to please are happy because it gets at least 3/4 of the way there. I think it might be better than their attempts at the Memorymoog and Jupiter-4 though.

while detecting the "change", the plugin deletes 
AppData\Roaming\CherryAudio\Mercury-6-20230309\Plugin\plugindatafile

restore the file, and the standalone works again.
the interesting thing: in vsthost the plugin works!

I copied the file after installation, back it up and set the file to read-only. The Standalone works but the VST3 version doesn't. screenshot

Not bad, it might be more close to the target than Memorymode / Mercury-4 was. But I'm always cautious around Cherry. Would rather see a Roland Cloud one (ofc with some R2R love applied).

It's a shame there's a noise bug.. Thx R2R.

young generation of Youtubers, tik-tokers, and spotifiers wont notice any difference or even care if its hardware or good emulated or not...they just wanna twerk and get wasted...me thinks....you know, only the pro's care. And thats good.
But R2R always take care of business and there will be a repack or fix....

Everything worked fine the first time I ran it, but after a few times, I got a red warning with a bomb placed on it and hoped that R2R would release a fix.

Close but no Cigar.
I'm Running Reason 12 and I too get the Red Bomb with Grids behind in GUI, but the standalone works just fine.
Thr standalone only works if I don't try the VSTi versions....it does the Red GUI error if I do.
R2R will fix this soon....from what I've heard so far it's a nice sound...not sure if it sounds like my old Jupiter 6 as that was 40 years ago!!

The fix on my end is to run it with admin rights. I use SaviHOST / win7. In both cases the plugindatafile file is not deleted.

works in savihost without admin rights necessary. only works when the vst can't detect the host.

I ended up deleting all Cherry Audio, they're cool and all but if you have Arturia, correct me if i'm wrong, the integration with NKS, GUI as well, sounds, patches, Arturia just takes the cake on these vintage synths, no?

No Jupiter-6 by Arturia, and Jupiter-6 is very different from Jupiter-8.
Its sound is sharper than the JP8 and the features are different.

Personally for me, I find Arturia's synth offerings, while technically correct and skeumorphic, the sound always feels sterile. We can always fix that but should we have to?

The Jupiter-6 will steal voices, but only when the sustain pedal is down. Mercury-6 now emulates that behavior.
