I prefer u-he filters, then TAL ones. I tried Cherry Audio Modular so far and deleted it. Didn't like the resource usage and the sounds were simply ok... I'm gonna give a go to this one and see, and compare.

p.s. I find Juno one of the most boring synths ever created, but the bass, not really innovative, should fit any genre. It's kinda like Fender Stratocaster, if you know what I mean. Just works for so many tracks. :)

I bought this one and it is okay sounding, but nowhere near Diva. IMO this one lacks grit and bite it feels too "sweet sounding". Good for pads or any other soft type of sounds. I hate myself whenever I tried to make bass patch from this one. It tends to sound funny.

I think it lacks odd harmonics or something, it feels like that if compared to other Juno emulation. It's like it doesn't have the "meat" or "phat" you'd expect from a Juno. Even it's entirely different model the Roland Cloud Juno60 is way way better option for Juno sound IMO if the CPU wont allow more Diva instances. Cherry Audio focused on the Oscillator detuning too much you can actually hear the de-tuning, it is quite obvious, sometimes can be a little unrealistic and... too much. The filter, not so much, it's like they aren't even trying. It's not bad, but just okay sounding. That should explain the price range of their plugins, you get what you paid for.

Oh, I love the FX section though.

Haha maybe you never owned an original 106. That detuning is very realistic unfortunately. The 106 was always more for pads when we used them in the 80s.

I agree entirely. From the videos I've seen of Cherry's stuff, it's not that good sounding. They're missing high end frequencies on the maximum cutoff etc. And the modelling never struck me as very good.

For example, the Cherry Audio EightVoice, in my opinion is the worst of all SEM options. They just sound like amateur Reaktor Ensembles to me with no custom modelling.

But respect to R2R for tackling this so the people who refuse to pay for login screens can try these out.

I compared to Arturia J6, Tal, Diva J60, Roland 60 & 106 plug out, Softube106 & this one.

If i had to choose 1 i would probably go with the ST model 84 but non of these synths are bad, i did not like the tal so much & never really liked it much.
No idea about accuracy the 6-160 sound different to each other in the og hardware.

My bet is that it will be ok, but i don't have legit to test.
I am only guessing that your legit will have no idea that the R2R is an imposter.

Wow, the explanation of what's actually happening in the background with the security side of things is very interesting.
Just shows what R2R have to overcome in order for us to try this plugin and decide if we like it or not.
Not sure I'd buy it with the explanation of what can happen with the security

Nessun problema, vai tranquillo.
R2R nel suo NFO spiega che la protezione di questo plugin POTREBBE essere sfruttata da cracker cattivi per iniettare codice maligno su una macchina. Quindi meglio evitare altre release di questo plugin da parte di team sconosciuti
