East West Fab Four v1.0.4-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 2021.12.28 | 13.1 GB
FAB FOUR is a virtual instrument inspired by the sounds of the Beatles, using the same kind of period instruments and authentic rare EMI recording equipment the Beatles used to create their music.

FAB FOUR sound engineer KEN SCOTT worked on five Beatles albums, including "A Hard Days Night", "Help", "Rubber Soul", "Magical Mystery Tour" (engineer), and "The Beatles" (engineer) - also known as the "White Album". Drummer DENNY SEIWELL and Guitarist LAURENCE JUBER were both members of Paul McCartney and Wings.

QUICK FACTS

* Produced by DOUG ROGERS
* Engineered by KEN SCOTT (Beatles/David Bowie/Elton John/Supertramp etc.)
* Includes authentic rare period guitars (acoustic and electric), basses, drums, keyboards, stringed and other misc instruments
* The same kind of microphones were used to record all instruments (Neumann/AKG/Cole/STC)
* The same kind of period amplifiers - Fender Tan Showman (1963), Fender Bassman (1963), Vox AC30 (1963), Vox AC50 (1965), Vox Defiant (1966), Vox 730 (1966), Vox 7120 (1966), Fender Showman (1967), Fender DeLuxe (1967) - were used with the electric guitars
* The same kind of recording desks and preamps, including a very rare EMI REDD tube desk, EMI TG12345 desk (the same kind of desk used to record "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"), and EMI REDD47 preamps, were used to record all instruments
* The same kind of limiters (Fairchild) and compressors (rare EMI RS124 modified Altec) were used for dynamics control
* The same kind of Studer J-37 tube 4-track was used to record everything

Could some one confirm if those two patches are not working, please?

-Something is a Rhythm Guitar
-Ticket to Guitar

Here I get a warn, eg:"Play could not find sample file "***.ews"
I've double checked and the "missed" files are there and in the correct folders.
Could you help me on this one, please? So I won't have to download it again.

quote by Terry Merchanti did,but it was a little confusing,

The library, in this case Fab Four, maybe anywhere. I've created a Eastwest folder in my disk E just for the EW libraries.
Now all the R2R's content (Previews, Chunks, Products) must go to the ProgramData\East West, like Josef said.
Then you open Play6 and add the library in the Browser tab. That's all.

Love the Beatles. I mean really REALLY love the Beatles and was so excited to try this.

What a POS. Maybe it might have sounded good in 2007 when they made it but my god what a terrible interface, awful unintuitive keyswitching and largely useless samples.
Such a good idea to use the original instruments and all the fabulous (pardon the pun) gear (pardon the pun) - but this badly needs updating. Imagine (pardon the pun) how awesome this could be if Spectrasonics or Toontrack did this now with 2022 tech. Or even redone for Kontakt.
Anyway, other than the harmonium and a couple of the bass, snare and tom sounds, I can't see me ever using this.
The end (pardon the pun).

Thank you for sharing this library, I have waited a long time. I just have one question, has anyone noticed that on the last high notes of some instruments the sound cuts off like a staccato? For example, in Fab Four's "Full Harmonium", and Goliath's "Church Organ". In the Sample Cache configuration it is numbered 1, since it is streaming from an SSD. If I change it to number 5 the problem is solved. But, according to the manual, for SSD disks the number 1 should suffice, since the last number is for low-resource systems and traditional hard disks. I have a modern PC to be able to run this program from 15 years ago. So what is going on? Is it a bug in the Play Engine program? I need your help please!
