Best thing is to back up the Program Data folder first.
Then delete the old unins000.dat, unins000.exe & ANA 2.settings files and install the new one.
I have yet to try it with this package, so i am not sure that works.

The main thing is to not lose your presets/waves folders ... in particular if you have extra 3rd party presets added, or have customized the preset folder.
But if you have customized you probably already know to back them up.

I like to rename the new folder (like "C:\ProgramData\Sonic Academy\ANA 2-NEW") and put the old one back and then manually copy the content of the new one over the old one.
That way if any presets have been modified in new package, the old ones get updated.
Of course if you have customized (renaming folders, etc) you may wind up with duplicates. That is when a comparison of presets folders & structure is usually needed to just update what is actually new content.

That is one argument towards just using presets folders "as is" even if the naming or folders structure is stupid or annoying.

my own USER presets are as safe as possible.

So, it's very heavy on CPU.
But all the Oscillators and sampler files, 3.47 GB are in this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Sonic Academy\ANA 2\Waves

And can be used in a better synth and also stored somewhere else than in C drive

EDIT: I've just reproduced one of the presets, using the wav files, but into Vital Synth, and it uses half of the CPU. ; )

Tested fine (Windows 10 Pro 21H1 64-bit, VSTi, REAPER 6.36 & Live 11 Lite 11.0.11), it looks a nice synthesizer (I discover it!). Thanks DECiBELLE for this precious post, and obviously thanks to R2R for his fantastic HQ stuff!

Anyone having problems with the library update not going through.
Go to C:\ProgramData\Sonic Academy\ANA 2\Presets\Sound Presets\DLC\Ultra SD-1
Find file "Mﾇtal.SndPr" and change symbol ﾇ to e for example.
Done, thanks R2R for the passcheck half a day killed :)!
