Systemwide calibration
Allows the use of calibrated sound for critical listening from any playback source. Works with Windows and Mac.

Step-by-step speaker measurements
For ultimate accuracy, software guides you through the process and automatically locates the microphone in your room.

See your actual frequency response
See your room/headphone sound before and after the correction, look at your left and right channel response individually.

PLATFORM : WiN32/64 - EXE/VST/RTAS/AAX(MODiFiED)
PLATFORM : MacOSX - APP/AU/VST

While Reference app itself is protected by formal C&R keyfile with RSA
signature, its downloadable content is all encrypted by ComputerID, which
means you cannot simply share the profile to other users' computers.

This time, we provide keygen and content crypto tool.

* Generate valid license for Reference 4 (RSA key patched).
* Encrypt headphone profile your the computer, like legit server does.
All current pre-decrypted profiles are included and ready to go.
* Decrypt legit content. You can share decrypted content with other users.
This should be useful when new profile is available.

Detailed instruction is included, enjoy a deal :)

I think they mean the vst plugin... Load the plug and import your profile from there.

Try downloading BatChmod (more comprehensive than the Terminal command) or Permissions Reset.

You need a flat reference mic, like an Earthworks, for speaker calibration, right?

Not entirely sure about this one -- it works, but it's really wonky to set up and I can't say I'm crazy about the results. It seems like it knocked out the mid-range on my HD 280 Pros and made them sound like my HD 380 Pros, which I don't use for exactly that reason. The minute I flipped it on, hi-hats, cymbals and upper mid-range just completely vanished from all the commercial tracks I listened to through it. Whether or not my 'phones have any hyped frequencies to begin with shouldn't result in whole frequency bands just vanishing when the correction is applied. It also defaults to -12 dB "safe headroom" when you first set it up, and stays that way even if you deactivate the function (meaning, you have to manually move the fader back up to -0 dB, or everything will stay at -12 dB whether Reference is active or deactivated).

FYI - I know I said to use BatChmod if the software didn't start up on the Mac, but I wound up running it through both BatChmod and Permissions Reset before it would open, so be advised.

(Edit: uninstalled after messing around with it for about five minutes. I'm glad it works for so many people, but it's just too wonky to set up for my taste, too invasive and the results, at least for me, are terrible. As far as I'm concerned, I'm better off just doing it the old-fashioned way, by using a commercial mix to judge what sounds "correct" through my 'phones. Thanks for letting me mess around with it, though!)

Tried the demo some months ago and felt the same way you describe it, so ended with same thought why use one more plugin when i can compare to any record out there, maybe will try again to see whats all the fuzz about.

Iggy - the references given are called "average" for a reason. The only real way to match headphone is to buy their calibrated pairs, or send yours to them. Otherwise it's based on how ever many headphones they had for each model and then "Averaged". Let me say the calibrated ones are superior. Especially the 50mx's and yes - the humble HD280's which are a lonnnng long way off "flat" (as you obis know) :) Also I only ever had to set the peak to 0db Once. it should remember.
As for speakers - to anyone reading this - using a preset like so many are wanting - when the room treatment or lack of is FAR more of an issue and HAS to be addressed at the speaker end. SET THEM UP YOURSELVES IF YOU CAN! Google it and you will find it useful, I believe there is a 'produce like a pro' video dedicated to this. You don't need and expensive mic I believe. even an iPhone..
MODERATORS: - not sure if I can mention the Channel name there - please remove if I have made an error.

Worked for me as well...
Thanks for pointing me on it...
Now I only need to get a headphones profile for Apple AirPods.
For some reason its not in R2R's provided profile source.
Can anybody help me with... ?

It’s not in there because they aren’t exactly suitable for any kind of audio production my man.

However, this profile does exist...
And it was mentioned on sister site...
So I'd like to test and decide by myself if they're exactly suitable or not.

It makes sense xander.s might want to try it if a profile does exist for those headphones. That's the point. The profile would serve as the corrective measure for his headphones to make them "suitable". If any pair of headphones included in the list is already calibrated for mixing, it makes no sense for them to be in the list, right.

xander.s: I checked, and there is no profile for Apple AirPods. I didn't know they were earbuds. That's the reason you won't get a profile for those.

profile exist, was present in the version I demoed and also in the True-Fi version for phones, they work just perfect for editing and mixing one the go... seems like in later versions they were removed supposedly for copyright infringement as well as other features...

do you guys have the microphone to measure your room? how are you using this?
You don't know what you don't know.
  Resident 22.09.2015 541

No need to measure anything, or even to have a mike. There is already calibrated profiles for the most used studio headphones of the planet (like Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamic,...).

The only thing you have to do: choose the profile corresponding to your model of headphones... and that's all!

I red that monitors profiles are no more included, see comments above. I dunno if you really can make your own monitor profile with it, in the case you really need it, and how to do it, sorry. The best way is to read carefully the help (manual) of the prog, or the vendor website.
