Band-in-a-Box® 64-bit version for Windows
There is a new 64-bit version of Band-in-a-Box®. This has the newest features of Band-in-a-Box® 2019 and is a modern 64-bit audio app. This means it can use the latest audio drivers and plugins that are designed for the 64-bit audio engine on your Windows OS. We also include a 32-bit version of Band-in-a-Box® with similar features. The 64-bit version is named bbw64.exe and the 32-bit version is named bbw.exe. You can tell which version you are running by the startup screen or the About Band-in-a-Box® dialog (Help | About Band-in-a-Box®).

Band-in-a-Box® VST DAW Plugin
The Band-in-a-Box® VST DAW Plugin is separate from the Band-in-a-Box® application and works directly inside your DAW (Cakewalk, Reaper, Pro Tools, PreSonus, etc.). The Plugin uses the content (RealTracks, styles, etc.) present in your bb folder to generate audio or MIDI tracks that you can drag/drop from the Plugin into your DAW. If your BiaB installation is pre-2018 then it will probably be a bit like a Frankenstein monster and probably full of precious stuff that you don't want to lose, etc.

In the 2018 version (and I assume also in the 2019 version) there are two files in the bb\data folder
- BB_Cleanup.exe
- BB_Cleanup.txt

This is PG Music's attempt at helping you to tidy up your old installation and bring it into line with the way they now prefer to organise the folders, etc.

You could just run BB_Cleanup.exe and hope for the best.
I would definitely store a copy of my old version somewhere else first.
After running it you will find two more files
- BB_Cleanup_Error.txt
- BB_Cleanup_log.txt
They will tell you whether BB_Cleanup.exe has done you any favours or screwed up your system.

Alternatively, you can explore the BB_Cleanup.txt file and in there you'll find the rules that BB_Cleanup.exe is trying to follow.
So from that you can get useful information about where the recent (2018, 2019) versions think everything should go, and then you can sort it out manually.

Does anyone have the version 12 installers for the following realtracks (right click on the installer, properties, Details, look at the file version number)? I want to compile these so that I can upload the installers, but I need the version 12 installers specifically (latest versions). Also, if you have any of any of the other installers (Realdrums, loops, XTRA PAKS, Lessons, etc) in the most current version installer, that would be great too.

Ok, got my hands on a few additional goodies (all the XTRA paks and all but one of the version 12 realtracks I didnt have). Still looking for this 1 if anyone has it...

Thank you very much for this incredible gift Futurewine! This upload was high on my with list.

Looking on PG forums I realize that one feature of Bb 2019 i.e. "Super MIDI tracks" requires the separate install of a specific Sforzando sound bank designed for Bb, even if the Sforzando plugin itself is part of the main Bb install setup.

For registered customers, this bank is available separately on the customer account page under the name: hiq_instruments_sforzando.exe
It would be nice to see it here if you have a chance to get it also:)

I can't help with the hiq_instruments_sforzando.exe file (haven't got it)
but I'm not sure what you mean by "Super MIDI tracks" REQUIRES the separate install of a specific Sforzando sound bank. I don't actually like Sforzando, never use it, but that doesn't stop me using Super MIDI tracks. A track that has a Super Midi Track assigned to it can use just whatever instruments you have available in BiaB.
Sorry if that means I misunderstood your question.

Thank you Adheesive. You've perfectly understood me. You're right, MIDI supertracks can play any instruments, which is not so obvious, because when Sforzando plugin is installed Bb kinka use it as a default instrument which requires the installation of a SFZ sound bank and generates error messages when it doesn't find it.

I guess that's just one more example of BiaB's many glitchy features. Normally, if I encounter software that is this quirky I would just ditch it, but what BiaB does is just too desirable to say goodbye to. It's ugly and wonderful and it does seem to be gradually getting tidier.

Futurewine (or anyone else who knows: I have downloaded the .zip files from Mega.nz, and am unable to unzip the archive - it tells me I need "bandinabox_realband_2019_pluspak.z01" file to extract this archive. I checked, and I cannot find the "bandinabox_realband_2019_pluspak.z01." Is it missing? I thought of re-naming the "bandinabox_realband_2019_pluspak.zip to "bandinabox_realband_2019_pluspak.z01", but it is the wrong file size - 15+ mb, wheareas the main body of files in the archive are 30,720 mb. Where is the file "bandinabox_realband_2019_pluspak.z01?" Thanks in advance. And thank you,so much, for uploading this.

adhesive, Thank you, my friend - it was an odd config to put the liink in, but I should have been smart enough to figure it out. I feel like an idiot - but that's good for me, every now and then - it keeps me humble. Thanks, futurewine, for the up, and to whoever did this work - I'm looking forward to checking out this new version: it has some radical changes from a program I've been using to practice styles with for a very, very long time.
Note): Winrar (at least the newest version I have) - wouldn't unzip this archive - (after I needed help getting the first zip file - aaaagggghhhh!) but 7-Zip made short work of it - for anyone having trouble unzipping it.

Hi massichat, it turns out you can't access the MIDI SuperTracks per se as they are deeply buried in the software (source: Bb forum).
But you can select them in your tracks and export them as MIDI file :)

But they are not available in the app, when I open for example the style picker and I filter the MIDI styles by choosing "New in 2019", I have zero style!
I think MIDI styles (especially new ones) are just not available on the net.

Give me a day or two, Im putting together the definitive BIAB collection, all realtracks, all but 6 of the official styles preinstalled (out of 6700 or so total styles). Actually, its already put together, Im just uploading it now, which will take a couple more days, and then I have to get a mod to put the links in and create a post. By mid-week, I hope to have it up and available.

Its a HUGE update from my previous version and I believe the most complete you'll find, created by installing all of the latest official installers that PG has (this took a significant amount of convincing someone to download and make these available to me, especially the realtracks).

There are over 2500 new styles in this new compilation as compared to the previous one I uploaded, and it has the new realtracks installed, using the newer version of the installers than the ones on audioz.

Yes, it makes a difference using the latest version realtrack installers, before you ask. They silently add content to existing realtrack installers, making many of the older installers for ancillary content, obsolete.

Im still on the lookout for the new 2019 master realtrack installer if anyone has it, as well as the shots and hold 350-440 installer, and if anyone happens to know what installer contains the Midi Supersets 28 & 29 (I am missing 6 of the midi styles from these 2 sets), that would be an immense help.

Rofl, way too much time, way, way too much time. Not just the searching, but I have done NUMEROUS complete reinstalls to get this right. I believe, other than 6 missing styles (out of over 6700) and perhaps a small selection from the songs and lessons pak (the version installer I have is older, so it is likely missing a few odds and ends), and whatever ancillary odds and ends that might be missing in the newly released shots and holds 350-440 (the realtracks actually contain these, so Im not exactly sure what the ancillary installer adds), this is a complete install. While the content I just mentioned may sound like alot of missing content, what you are getting in this package is immense, so much more immense than the previous version.

I think I have done a dozen reinstalls, each reinstall taking around 4 hours to complete. Its insane.

The full package is uploaded right now and Im uploading the styles by themselves separately for those that want a significantly smaller package that only deals with the midi side of BIAB. I need to organize the links, and then shoot them off to Olymoon, which will probably happen in a few hours. It may take him a day or two to get it up on the site, so keep an eye out, hoping to have it available very, very soon. It has taken 6 days to upload all 170 gb of this monstrosity.

You'll need 200 gb of hdd space to unzip, in addition to the 120 gb you'll need for the zip files, and you can delete your 2018 version.

Due to the complexity of the BIAB folder and file structure, I'm gonna download your full package and install it even though I already downloaded the 2018 AND 2019 stuff you recently compiled and released here. Your comment about the latest version of RealTrack installers "silently adding content" is what got me! HaHa!!
