TEAM V.R | 17 March 2018 | 208.34 MB
BIAS AMP 2 is the ultimate virtual amp designer, authentically recreating the tone and feel of real tube amplifiers, while allowing you to mix and match components to create your ideal amp. You can use Amp Match to clone the tone of real hardware or a guitar track, or connect to the ToneCloud® to gain access to thousands of custom amps from artists and recording studios, or upload your own custom tones to the cloud.

BIAS AMP 2 adds two new custom amp packs to your sonic palette. Blues is all about gooey clean to mid-gain amps, and Bass brings amps and speaker cabs just for bass guitars. Add in all of the custom component options, and you have literally thousands of custom amps at your fingertips. There’s nothing else like it!

BIAS AMP 2 represents a revolution in virtual amplifier design, providing the tools to take your ultimate guitar tone with you anywhere, from the studio to the stage and back again.

WHAT’S NEW IN BIAS AMP 2

DYNAMIC TONE ENGINE
For BIAS AMP 2 we worked with artists, engineers and recording studios to improve the already hyper-authentic touch response of our amplifier circuits. The result is a new playing experience, with increased touch responsiveness and dynamics. With new tubes, transformer, dynamic tone control and a completely redesigned speaker cabinet module with multi-mic capability, you now have the tools to take your tone explorations further than ever before!

BIAS MEETS CELESTION
When it comes to speakers, Celestion is the most trusted name in the history of rock and roll. Their drivers have been used on more classic songs and tones than any other manufacturer, and their impulse responses are the favorites of guitarists ranging from Pete Thorn and Scott Henderson to George Lynch. We’ve partnered with Celestion to make their IR’s easier to use than ever before, so you can forget loading individual files! Just select a custom Celestion cab and start moving the mics around – BIAS AMP 2 does the rest.

REDESIGNED AMP PACKS
BIAS AMP 2 adds two new custom amp packs to your sonic palette. Blues is all about gooey clean to mid-gain amps, and Bass brings amps and speaker cabs just for bass guitars. Add in all of the custom component options, and you have literally thousands of custom amps at your fingertips. There’s nothing else like it!

LUSH REVERBS
BIAS AMP 2 features nine built-in reverbs - ranging from huge halls to intimate rooms - with full control over their size and character. Between the different reverb types and the extensive filtering and saturation options, BIAS AMP 2 has all your reverb needs covered.

NEW
AMP MATCH

AMP Match can already match the tone of any mic’d reference amp, but we’ve made it even better in BIAS AMP 2: now matching a tone is as easy as importing an audio file! Not only that, if you aren’t all that familiar with dialing amps yourself you can ask AMP Match to guess the circuit for you. You’ll get faster and better results no matter what your skill level is, making it even easier to get to your ideal tone.

THE WORLD’S MOST EXTENSIVE LIBRARY OF PRO TONES
The tone-creation possibilities are nearly infinite with BIAS AMP 2, which comes with 100 new custom amps in a variety of genres. Download artists' signature amps, or try out the latest and most popular matched amp models created by your fellow guitarists. It doesn’t matter what kind of music you play or what kind of tone you’re looking for – chances are good that it’s on the ToneCloud®.

BIAS FX INTEGRATION
BIAS AMP was designed to integrate directly with BIAS FX, Positive Grid’s flagship amp-and-effects processing environment. All of the custom amplifiers you create with BIAS AMP 2 are automatically available in BIAS FX, providing a foundation for your ideal finished tone. Start with an amp that fits your playing like a glove in BIAS AMP 2, and then open it in BIAS FX and add pedal and racks effects. It’s a seamless and revolutionary workflow, making it easier than ever to create your own signature tones!

Did you edit the hostfile?I think R2R had a hostfile patch made with one click or so so it edited the hostfile to not accept anything that wanted to connect to Postive Grid.
I had to delete all those before i could dl the amp match preset BUT if you try to connect to tonecloud with Bias FX it goes to demo mode so DONT use that one..It is also not a good idea to show developer that you are using pirated software so try to use a vpn when connect if you can.
Go to developer is what Mac people (they really think their Mac is protecting them from anything LOL) and "youngsters a.k.a noobs" do all the time hence why developer increase their protection.
Wow people really dont use their brains anymore

Thanks Guitarmaniac64,
That solved the issue!!!
I have now created two copies of my host file, one with and one without the R2R posgrid blocking lines. Now I can just replace the host file when I need to access tonecloud and switch back to the original one when I and Done
Oh, Bias FX is now showing my Bias2 amps.
All is good in Canuckville.
Thanks for the help :)
Peace all

Win 7 x64, Nvidia ... GUI can't display the full contents and i can't expand to see all the settings.

This software has received a lot of negative reviews in various forums on the web, but I actually think it sounds really good. I haven't really had any major problems using this CE version either. Once I had adjusted the screen scaling on Win 10 to 100% I was able to see all the controls properly too. I have to say I prefer this software to the Line 6 stuff as well..but just my thoughts... Many thanks to the people who brought it here too. Will definitely buy it.

I'm having scaling issues in Win7. Can you explain the workaround?
  Resident 23.07.2014 3 217
+132
I had my screen scaling set to 200% I think..so when I just set it back to 100% everything came back to normal. I'm on Win 10 but I think Win 7 may have the scaling options in Display Settings. Worth a try anyway...

I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Hi again, this resolved the issue, so thanks for that.
I really hate the 100% scaling though. Did you find any solution to have it scaled as you want and still use Bias?

No problem and glad it worked out. No, I haven't found another way to scale it as yet..but I'll keep trying it!

I don't know what you mean about to see all the
features. To me it seems to be just right on Win7 x64. I can see all the knobs and features just like the picture that ilustrates this post and identical to the Ola video on YT. The stand alone has the same size in Pro Tools and Reaper. I got a Nvidia GT630 board. Everything seems to be fine! What am I missing?

For everyone experiencing the issue with Bias 2 amps not showing up in Bias FX, edit your host file in windows (look it up if you don’t know how) and comment out all Positive Grid or PG entries by putting a # at the beginning of each relevant line, then saving it. You’ll need to do this as an administrator. Then open Bias Amp 2 and sign into Tonecloud (you need to make an account, it’s ok). Download any amps you may want, then logout of Tonecloud. Close Bias Amp 2 and go back and edit your host file, reactivating each relevant line by deleting the #. Remember to save again. Now go and open Bias FX and you should see a new entry for Bias Amp 2.

I see the entry. But none of the amps under this are activated. All are greyed out. Are you seeing them activated?
  Resident 18.05.2011 132
+35
Yup. Are you using the latest Bias FX that was posted?
  Member 19.06.2015 94

Thank you! Used your steps and got this working now. Appreciate your suggestions.
  Member 19.06.2015 94

Everything, except the Celestion Modern Vintage Pack activated inside BiasFX. However Celestion Modern Vintage Pack works inside BiasAMP2. Not sure how to get this fixed.

Yeah someone reported that on the Bias FX post, looks like a program or crack issue, hopefully it’ll get resolved on the next release. Also hoping Positive Grid updates Bias FX and Bias Pedal to match the new GUI and functionality of Bias Amp 2... and that V.R. Cracks it so we can get Tonecloud functionality across the board
