Thanks! tbh I don't know why T racks has less "hype" than Slate (maybe they need better marketing or gui?), They have hardware technology like slate (not the same tech but they have good hardware units like iRig and their monitors which sound pretty dope). The metering incluiding in the suite with an overall light CPU performance and a good emulation is something better than VMR.

You need a newer extraction software (as did I a while ago and was getting the same error on windows) times move on and so do compression and extraction techniques.

This happens when you install in a different path than the default one. This is being seriously discussed in a lot of other forums. It seems that IK Multimedia is going to fix that bug. Just install in the default directories until there.
