You don't have to install Kontakt ever again just copy this folder to your VST folder and keep it there forever and there is a genius manage library fucntion wich you CAN ADD ALL YOUR LIBRARIES AT ONCE!

Gets blacklisted in Cubase 9. Can't un-blacklist them. Any solutions?

Working fine in my cubase 9. delete the x86 dlls and see if that works.Cubase no longer accepts x86.

Hello guys! Nice release of Kontakt 5.7.1, but could someone tells me how can I add Cinesample Cinebrass Core, Cinebrass Pro and Embertone - Chang Erhu libraries in this version of Kontakt? They have .nicnt files, but it's not possible to be added...
The Chang Erhu works through "Files" menu, but Cinebrass... they need to be added as library, otherwise won't work.

I am not 100% sure and I need some info on how to do this the correct/clean way but I think there is a program called LIBDROPPER. If someone else could help us that would be great THANK YOU.

Works perfectly once you've added all your libraries with the proper options of the "Add" menu in the Library manager.

Some libs can be added automatically by browing to their folder (option1) whereas some others need to be pushed in place manually using the option 2: "Add undetected RAS1 library forcibly". And obviously your "home made" libraries require option 3 "Add self-made library" (start by naming them, and then point to the right folder- done).

I've noticed that well called with this portable Kontakt version, some libraries cannot find their factory snapshots if they have any.

I've solved the problem by creating a extra symblink pointing to the standard location of Kontakt snapshots.
That gives :
mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5 Portable\UserData\User Content\Kontakt\" "C:\Users\[You User Name Here]\Documents\Native Instruments\User Content\Kontakt\"
All snapshots now appear normally in this great portable version.

I'm a noob to Kontakt, I've never used it before. I have a question. This thing says no install necessary, but there's an Install.exe in the main folder. Do I have to run that? Anything else I need to know?

I cannot get Spitfire eDNA or Sample Logic Rumble to work. I used option 3 and it added the library but still says it needs to be added to use it. Any Ideas?

In the other portable version everything works fine, and now when I try to add all my library again 50% of them locked :S do you know maybe what I need to do to solve this?

and by the way great solution until we get another version like this from R2R (hopefully) :)

I have a message that says: "your new library needs to be added before this instrument can be used. please go to kontakt's libraries tab and press the add library button" Does anyone know how to fix it? only happens to me with the libraries by native instruments

Actually, I managed to make the 5.7.1 Portable work side by side with 5.5.1 and 5.6.8 in Cubase 9.0.3.

At first, having 5.5.2 and 5.6.8 (working together), the new 5.7.1 dlls were blacklisted. I then renamed 5.5.2 and 5.6.8 to "*_old" to make new ones work, and they did. After that, I wanted to compare the CPU consumption, so I renamed the old ones back to normal and expecting that 5.7.1 no longer works. But actually, after that, all 3 were working fine, showing in the cubase list and all. Go figure! :)

Recently tried running and was successful. Then everything messed up because of antivirus, so when I went to exclude it many of my other files like .nfo for other programs started popping up as "quarantine "??? Anyone??

Guys....

I have a problem to load "Spitfire - eDNA - 01 Earth library" to this portable version.... There is a original nicnt file but this isnt work on 571 portable version..... cant add this lib....

anyone got the same problem?

BTW this lib is worlking fine on normal installed version.... so its a protable fault (i guess)...

This doesn't show any liraries I have already in my tab on 5.6.6. Is this normal? Do I need to readd them all here?

Every library is locked with a padlock. How do i unlock them? they work fine on my regular kontakt app.

In Kontakt, at the top, select Options and then the Libraries tab.

Make sure that all of your libraries (instruments) are selected ... this is a white box on my machine. I believe if any one of these is not selected, that library will not show up in Kontakt.

See if this may solve your problem.

Portable version not working here in S1 3.52 (WIN 7). Suspect there's a conflict with other kontakt dlls?

I made an account just to thank from the bottom of my heart the genius that made this ''portable'' version.. YOU ROCK! Everyhting works perfect and no more wasting time to install Kontakt each time and having troubles and I just love the easy manage library function... FUCKING GREAT! THANK YOU!

Installed NI Kontakt 5 v5.73 Portable, by copying the subdirectories [Helper, Kontakt 5, Libraries UserData, along with the "Install.exe" file] to a folder named "Kontakt 5" located within "C:\ProgramData\Native Instrument", ran "Install.exe" to do the integration and the result -- locked libraries in the Library Manager as shown below.

But.... when the SAVE button is pressed and Kontakt restarted the libraries appear the Kontakt Library Browser, also shown below. Library then instrument selection appear to work given that I just pressed random keys on the virtual keyboard. Nonetheless, I would be grateful for an explanation of the significance of the lock icons. Further DAW [Bitwig, Reaper, FL Studio, and Sonar] testing awaits. I will report my findings.

Any way of changing the plugin ID of this one? Would love to be able to load old projects with kontakt 7 instead of kontakt 5.
