If you installed the first one

before you start Alchemy i recommend to go to C:\ProgramData\Camel Audio\Alchemy

and delete the AlchemyConfig.txt

This is so cool. I couldn't give up source edit options for a more refined browsing system and the few nominal feature updates. I've been on 1.25 for so long now but if this works like you guys are saying I'm about to make the switch.

Yes reaper is crashing on scanning this one the other version it did not have and issue. Also the new .dll's are very small in comparison to the other release.

I didn't want to uninstall anything and just installed over like SineWave said which worked perfectly.
I installed 1.50 soundbanks for the first time but kept getting missing .wav errors.
Figured out that you can extract the 1.50 .camelsounds files with 7zip and just copy the Presets and Samples folders you get into your ProgramData\Camel Audio\Alchemy directory.
Then merge all the contents.csv into one file or just copy/paste from each into one.

No it doesn't work proper. Tweaking some parameters in FX (reverb size/gate in acoustic reverb etc) section resets the whole preset.

Not worth the hassle then.

I tend not to work with abandonware anyways. People should move on.

I got a error as well when i frist try to run the plugin,
it would only play sinewaves no matter what preset i used,
i also had a other version installed before hand
and fixed the update by resetting the data folder in the plugin settings.

If you can't open this plugin in your daw try useing this
http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm
to run it frist as a standalone so you can change the data folder
and see if it then opens in your daw.
At least if the standalone works for you,you will know its your daw
thats giving the error and not the plugin and can run it useing
bluecat patchwork inside your daw if you want to.

@motherofgod the setting you are seeing changing or resetting in the modulation box when you change any settings in the plugin are the settings for that tab i think and not all the settings for the presets,

and it didnt go back to a clean initialized patch not sure whats wrong on your side ?

yep have tryed it now for a hr still works ok and never went back to initialized patch
have only tested the 32 bit plugin
will check the x64 version for you latter ok
just to make sure its just not you.

Here it's working well, I installed over the earlier version and all is working in Reaper/Studio One etc..
The only thing I noticed different in this R2 version is that as many are saying, it is the Full version but didn't test that yet. But one thing I noticed is that Team V.R went on and they stamped their Name rigth on the Left Top Corner of the VSTi where the name ALchemy is written and the earlier version didn't have that if I'm not mistaking.

Find it a bit unnecessary as we already know its you guys who have made this possible. But anyhow, so far seems to work and will test more see if it does not hang as many are reporting

I get a "Copy violation. Contact support" randomly when I click on the "Random" button. I think we can expect all sort of strange behaviour with this version. The size of the dll also worries me. Any ways, time will tell. I have backed up my previous dll before trying.

Not sure anyone will read this, but just in case: I finally managed to get Alchemy into Fl Studio 20.5 but there are no presets showing (factory presets I mean). I do have old libraries, though I just don't remember how to install them, but I don't have the factory presets, if anyone can pointme in the right direction....thank you.
