•XY Pad: Individual cursors can now be hidden via KSP ($HIDE_PART_CURSOR)
•The customized string representation of parameter values in XY Pad is now shared with the host correctly
•Updating the value of a cursor from within the control’s callback is now reliable in XY Pad.
•No longer any potential crashes when trying to view the Host Automation tab with certain NKIs loaded
•Crash when trying to view the Infos (sic) tab of the Instrument Options dialog with certain NKIs now fixed
•Certain NKIs no longer trigger the “Really quit…” dialog every time they were closed

question: what if i install this on my machine as admin so i don't have to run my daw as admin?
sorry if it's a dumb question. i am genuinely curious.

that wont change a thing , you would have to run it as admin anyways. or disable uac as far as I know

For those that are stumped with this as i was, are you installing to a usb drive or straight into your computer drives. I could not get it to work. Installed on my usb stick and perfect first time. The PAF gives the game away. Enjoy. Have made Reaper portable too now. Way to go.

It doesn't work on your C:\ but it installs fine on a second internal HDD like @Hans Irgend... commented earlier.

I only get an error saying it can't start the program from program files. Wtf?

Unfortunately I have a problem, I use Ableton Live, I have followed all the directions and Kontakt Portable works, the problem is that when I rescan the vst folder or when I try to save a project before quitting the program, ableton reports the following messages error:

"C: \ USERS \ W10 \ APPDATA \ ROAMING \ ABLETON1LIVE9.7 \ UNDO.CFG" CAN NOT BE DELETED.

And immediately afterwards:

FAILED TO ACCESS THE UNDO HISTORY FILE.SWITCHING TO MEMORY- BASED UNDO.LIVE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECOVER SETS AFTER ANYMORE CRASHES.
PLEASE CONSULT WWW.ABLEETON.COM/SUPPORT IF THIS PROBLEM PERSIST AFTER REBOOTING.

After this error the program does not save me the project, it closes as if it has saved but does not save, this only happens to me how to use this version of Kontakt Portable, in some cases besides not saving my project when I reopen my program Resets all the libraries I had previously loaded.
Can any of you kindly help me?
I tried to look for a solution but I could not answer, I'm really in trouble and I do not know how to do it

I run both Kontakt 5.5.2 and 5.6.6 Portable and I even installed both (some say the latter doesn't need install) and I can run both in one session of Ableton.

Had some issues first with installing but solved it by installing it on a non-OS internal HDD.
Then I got the same error as you but I just deleted the preferences file and now all seems fine.

EDIT: Me too is having issues with "undo history" not working any longer with Ableton .Deleting the .cfg files doesn't really cut it as everytime I close a projects with Kontakt Portable it gives the error message.

EDIT 2: I finally re-installed Ableton and now all is fine. Only thing I could point a finger at is that in the \appdata folder where all previous Live install cfg's are saved there was a 9.7.4 folder even though I was using 9.7.3 and have no idea why that info was there (auto-update is off) so I think this was the reason deleting the .cfg files didn't work. Maybe others could check this too.

Somebody help me ? :((( I just moved to Windows 10 x64 but now when I istalled Kontakt 5 Portable I am getting error :(((

Can somebody check out this picture and help me get out ?

i downloaded it to my external harddrive and copy the dll to my vst foler, everything worked fine. Two days later the 5.6.6 portable start to overide my purchased copy of kontakt 5 that came with my komplete 10. now im not able to use both the 5.6.6 and my kontakt 5 at the sametime anymore.someone pls help, im on window 7.i even try to scaning my vst folder with my daw but that didn't work either.

Portable-? Good idea. But I've got just issues. Finally I got it to work as a standalone, but as Plugin the shortcuts don't seem to work ( F3, Ctrl F, Quickload and so on,) In the Options-tab the Audio-configuration-tab is gone completely. Could someone enlighten me ?

You are relatively freshly registered here, so I explain to you that in this place, you cant request a release for other system as comment in a post.
