There seem to be two types of mix engineers: those who own a pair of the original units this plug is inspired by, and those who want to. I can't give you the original, but I can give you my twisted take on it.

For starters, I tweaked the distortions to make them fuzzier, because I have a fondness for dirt & grime. I added a 250Hz sidechain HPF option which leaves all bass frequencies uncompressed, as well as a 6kHz sidechain 'push' to smooth out harsh, aggressive stuff.

Most compressors press sounds back, this one pushes them forward. The original is in every million dollar studio, now my version can be in yours

quote by SineWaveReally? It's so hard to believe some plugin doesn't work in W10, even despite so many people recommending W7. But hey - they use old shit, eh? They are backwards and all that. "Stuck in past". There is a reason to use W7 for music making. Bunch of reasons. Even many developers still don't test their plugins in W10. So why on earth would anybody use it for music making? You can expect compatibility issues. So don't whine about *your* choices.

I didn't have any problems since I upgraded to Win10. Even with the older VST's. It's not Win10 maybe S1 V3.2, I don't know. And it's non of your business to tell me which OS should I use. I tried every OS and Win10 is the best for me, even more stable than Win7. Maybe your old computer can't handle Win10, so that's why "you" are whining about it. Who knows!

That's because developers are smarter than Win10 users. Serious music producers still use Win7.

Experiencing (very slight) glitchiness running Reaper x64 Windows 8.1. Every five minutes or so it'll kind of lockup Reaper's GUI (meters will freeze for about 5-10 seconds, but audio continues fine) and there will be a Windows error prompt sound, but no visual prompt. Feels like part of the validation process attempting to take place.

Not a deal breaker by any means. Amazing stuff. Thanks a million.

Edit: I should also note that I've had zero issues with any other release from audioutopia, including the Kush Audio plugins. I'll grab the other Sly-Fi Digital stuff right now to test if it's just this one or everything from them.

Edit2: Yep, same thing happens with Axis EQ and Kayla. Definitely feels like an activation checking thing going on.

In this case, to bitch is used as a verb that simply means cry asking.

Hey just wanted to let you know I've found a bit of a solution by uninstalling the 64bit version and running the 32bit version instead. Reaper natively bridges 32bit plugins so this is not an issue for me, but you may need to do more to get it working in Pro Tools.

Edit: nevermind... Now I've begun getting a c++ runtime error, something along the lines of: "R6025 pure virtual function call"

But at least I can see the error now. Seems to me this is the same error happening with the 64bit plugin only the prompt is never visible. Will keep you updated if I find a solution.

Great job, installation very simple (All AudioUtopia releases are simple to install) with only one file "setup.exe".
Really, good job and very good team, i'm a fan
If i can suggest a gain control on the interface of setup.exe it would be perfect, just a suggestion.

Anyone else get issues with this? Every time I load any of the AudioUtopia UBK or Sly-Fi plugins on Win 7 my computer makes an error sound. The plugins still work, just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?

No issues with any of their other releases.

See my post(s) above. UBK stuff works fine for me, only the three from Sly-Fi were giving me that error ding. But it seems we're in the minority. The solution I've found for myself is using the 32bit version over the 64bit.

Edit: nevermind... Now I've begun getting a c++ runtime error, something along the lines of: "R6025 pure virtual function call"
