Alchemy is the ultimate sample manipulation synthesizer which can turn your musical dreams into reality. It's a synth powerhouse and yet is easy to use thanks to its performance controls and remix pads. The library of contemporary sounds explores new sonic territory ranging from cutting-edge pads and sublime soundscapes to ultra-fat basses and synths. Just tweak the library of presets from many of the world's top sound designers or dive in and analyse your own samples - it's up to you!

Alchemy features additive, spectral and granular synthesis and resyn- thesis, sampling, and a very capable virtual analog engine with unison and PWM. You can morph or crossfade between sources. You can import your own samples from SFZ, WAV or AIFF files. A wide range of analog modelled filters are included, in addition to a flexible rack of effects which includes all those from CamelPhat and CamelSpace as well as many new effects such as a high quality reverb. The innovative modulation system is extremely flexible, yet easy to use. Alchemy also features a powerful arpeggiator with the ability to import the groove from any MIDI file for immediate synchronization to a beat.

In what way would this be better than the 1.25 version already released?
Think of using non periodic rhythm patterns in your music

No reason. I'd use the 1.25. HEXWARS mentioned in their release of Camel Crusher that the 1.55 is already done for both platforms but won't be released until all the 1.5 expansions are supplied. They were pissed that the same suppliers provided the new factory library as well as 8 libraries and it wasn't fair so now the ball is in our court to make it happen. Or not and in that case I recommend the 1.25. There were a lot of bugfixes so if you use this a lot for its diverse capabilities then you'd want to be on the last release. All the same libraries are available so you won't be missing anything.

Actually, I heard that hexwars only have CPhat and CSpace ready for both platforms (the irony, they finished it just the day before Camel announced closure).
HEXWARS release for Alchemy is OSX only for now

Even more pissed cause that supplier was a guy from one of the teams, like always. I heard they was supplied with a few expansions (and offered of thousand more by people who talk, talk and talk again, but stops there) after they requested expansions in the nfo of that release you're talking about, but far from getting all expansions.

Oh that's right.

Damn man, that's really sad when teams are the ones supplying teams plus a few other helpful fellows. P2P must only refer to the download end and not the supply. It made sense to do things this way when it was a closed system but I can imagine the teams think: what's the point of supporting the public when they are the ones doing all the work AND supplying the software. Sucks that the system can't seem to harness the incredible theoretical impetus of such a vast pool of people. So the teams take all the risk, supply the software, crack the software, share the software and others sit back and complain about the software. Gee I can't understand why they view this as unsustainable. And in this case the libraries are no longer available so this is the time when they really need people to step up. Let's hope to see some movement.

Spot on as always Zeus and you would know. I was actually always adamantly against P2P sharing because even before it was so prevalent I could tell that it wouldn't lead anywhere good and lo and behold here we are. I've heard the same thing said by some legendary teams. Some of them got out for this exact reason, to escape the train wreck that file-sharing was becoming. In all facets of life human beings don't appreciate that which comes easily. It's like communism: why should I work hard when I get paid the same amount of money as someone that doesn't? In such environments human nature takes over and we end up with a circus. The irony is that people have tried to equate P2P with sharing when it's not about that at all as can be seen by the measly supplies that the teams eek out from the oh so grateful public. It's only about sharing for the teams, for the end user it's just an excuse to be self-centered and greedy. The worst part is that the teams aren't even asking for everyone to give back such as in systems that utilize ratios, they're just asking for some of the hundreds of thousands of people to step up and help out so the same people don't have to do it all the time. Sad that we can't accomplish that. Maybe it's time they go back to their roots. We're lucky to have practically anything we could ever want anyway.

And by the way, how have you been doing? Let me know when you feel like you can pick up that thing that I showed you. I could really use your input because right out of the gate you remembered those two things that were omitted. You know what I'm talking about right? Don't say it here though. Also don't feel obligated because I can always find someone else to help. I just want to make some headway on that project because I haven't worked on it with the team in a while now and I don't want it to be so open-ended. Plus there's still a lot of work to do. Not totally even done planning the final direction but you saw the great ideas that we've been kicking around. I have a lot going on in my business and I want to make moves to wrap up some of the cool things we've been working on and get them out. Time to start checking things off instead of adding more tasks to the list. There's also gonna be a learning curve when we unleash the new AudioSex since it's a new platform and there will be an adjustment period for everyone especially staff. I've been doing some background research though and it looks like it should be more intuitive overall. It's really going to allow us to offer a more cohesive experience and that will translate to the end user. Really excited. The most important thing though is your health so let me know the deal.

wouldn't it be funny if Apple put this out in tact as a free Logic upgrade? Then again, they may more likely dumb it down for Garageband...

I loved the release on here so much that I bought it after getting to know it thoroughly and coming understand that I would really use it - the way it should work on here (except of course now they have closed down after selling to Apple ... no updates anymore ... ) I have big tone/dream voices and himalaya pads and vintage in 1.55 - I guess this is legacy ware now. Where would someone post this?

That's really cool man. Nice to see people support the developers. Alchemy really is a powerhouse synth that can do so much.
