only reason i mention it is because omni2 said in order to use those presets it has to be a newer version than what's available. Also my older folder of this was only 1.6 GB. I'm comparing folders now to see what's different.

My installation finds the 'STEAM' folder (I had to put this on an external drive as I don't have 60GB spare on my laptop drive), then says that the data will be installed into that location, tells me to click on 'Continue', then it says, "Alert. Files to be installed not found."

Is it because the STEAM folder is on an external drive?

just check your Path in the Installer ..as it always wants to install in the Default Path..point the installer to your folder called "Steam" on your external Drive and you should be fine
