luizcifer - thanks - I tried pointing it to the external drive, but it just says that it needs to install it on the drive where the OS is installed. It actually does find the right STEAM folder on my external drive - it says it's found it and states the file path correctly - but then when I press Continue it still gives me the error.

i think you can't install this one to an external drive.

It's all in the Bob Moog Tribute Library Installer/Steam folder.
Basically, the path shown in this folder is the path you should follow on your external folder so…
Bob Moog Tribute Library Installer/STEAM/Omnisphere/Settings Library/Patches/Factory/Moog Tribute Library.db
…must go in :
Your Spectrasonics Folder(if you have one)/STEAM/Omnisphere/Settings Library/Patches/Factory/(Moog Tribute Library.db here!)

and
Bob Moog Tribute Library Installer/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources/Factory/Moog Tribute Library (the whole folder)
…must go in :
Your Spectrasonics Folder(if you have one)/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources/Factory/(The whole Moog Tribute Library Folder)

on Windows use the latest Winrar on Mac i think most user`s use Keka
