Yes, I concur that the preamps do some really nice things as part of a gain stage. Although these might only be 32bit, if you have the wear-withal to bridge these gems you might just be in for a sonic treat. Thanks, TsanMi, for bringing these back to the group consciousness.

Yes Sir Elliot 18 band Eq is like nothing else in the 20hz - 100hz area, really bottom end sub sounding hardware eq. i emailed him to find out about 64bit but he has dropped of the face of the planet.

I own so many distortion plugins, but needing a very good sounding preamp as a plugin.

Already found out. Thanks for the release, but no cigar for Sir Elliot.
Compressors and limiters are horrible and do generate LOADS of artifacts, unlike advertised. Most of them are ultra-buggy and most of time just clipping the DAW or distorting or doing nothing instead of really compressing, no matter what dialed in.

Compressors are 99.99% troll plugins that someone has quickly made in Synthmaker in order to test how many people are really has ears. Most even cannot tell if the plugin is working or not it seems.

I don't even want to test preamps.

Above is the reason for mysterious vanishment of Sir Elliot. He was either a fake character or was ashamed of his "plugins".

I never liked the comps or limiters but his Eqs realy are very good, they are not SE, i think he coded in C++

If they are C++, why every plugin is 3-4 Mb and 32 bit only, exactly like Bootsy? This looks like "princess maker" sure. And every DLL has Synthmaker signature in the very end of the file, just loaded in hex editor. You can see it even with text editor if it will handle binary file. "SSM" and "mod.vst" is the Devil's mark.

I'll try EQ later, but not sure if I have any use for extra EQ.

BTW Bootsy's line are fine despite synthmaker and cringe-inducing GUI.

No i dont think so, becouse some of his are only 88khz and 98khz, i used to follow his blog, really big fan of his 18 band EQ, it kills anything in that range 20hz-80hz, seriously.
Also bootsy does some great plugins also. You should try Sir Elliots Eq before judging.

edit, i should be more clear, i meant, that some plugins dont work in standard 44khz, they only work in 88 or 96. Not sure that Synthedit can do that.

As of the first of January 2014, all new designs will be compiled using C++. Older designs created from 2013 – 2008 will be updated (if need be) using Synthmaker. All designs created from 2013 – 2008 have been thoroughly checked to function to its specifications on Microsoft’s Windows 8 Operating System.

All new designs created in 2014 using C++ platform will be compiled on Windows XP Service Pack II on a Pentium IV, 3 GHZ CPU.

Its true the comps were shit. try the 18band on a drum kit or kick.. great for mastering also, bring out the sub end

Demon check Rt-1 pre with filters engaged in conjuction with 18 band eq in some bass sounds.Instant lo-fi !! these two and the 35-Band Mastering Vocal Equaliser i think worth the try.

Ah, and I'm searching for a good hardware delay pedal.
