CM-Edition of an original Lindell Audio 6X-500 plug-in.
The Six X Five Hundred is a mono/stereo channel transformer coupled Preamplifier and Passive 2 Band Equalizer. The Preamp is an all discrete design based upon our hybrid amplifier.

The Equalizer is our take on the magical classic Pultec design. It’s got 15dB boost of smooth silky high end and the most punchy low end you can get.

The 6X-500 plugin is a direct evolution of our hardware. It adds the most requested features from our users. The sound is true to our hardware.

- Faithful hardware circuit emulation of the Lindell Audio 6X-500 Module
- Passive Pultec Equalizer
- Transformer Balanced Input and Output

I take it as this plugin is an invitation to buy a real preamp. Any users of these? From what I heard, Lindell stuff has some build quality problems (probably top notch build quality is not what to be expected from that price, but anyway). Is that true?

Yep, GS is probably better place to ask, but Lindell is a moderator here, so opinions would be naturally biased.

Thanks for the instant reply. Are they first Poland-made batch or latter China?

By the way, regarding the plugin itself. It has slight "smiley face" EQ when "Analog" button is engaged (1 dB or so). Completely flat without.
And I see something that seems like quantization noise (low level) from differential equations solving with that button on tests, so it (probably!) has more interesting modelling that just a simple filter.

Yes, the difference is important, I should look precisely for Poland units if considering getting.

It's a pity they were forced to switch. Most likely could not return the expenses anymore. Lindell seems too much gear enthusiast to do this willingly just for more profit.

Yeah, let's spread the hell over earth and bring stuff at every corner. I'm all in.
BTW I see no complaints about Massey on russian bay after 700+ hits so i take it as it's working after all. Just don't wait for RTAS, I decided to leave it in peace. It's cheap and readily available, unlike cancelled VST.
