LinPlug Spectral v1.2.1 Incl.Patch and Serial WiN/MAC-R2R screenshot
TEAM R2R 2014.12.06 | WiN: 28.29 MB | MAC: 26.59 MB
Our new top of the line synthesizer, the result of 14 years of synthesizer building experience. If you are familiar with subtractive synthesis, you will feel right at home with the Spectral, because you can choose an oscillator waveform, choose a filter shape and go on from there. But Spectral delivers far more options than you would expect from the well sorted user interface. Both Oscillator Waveform and Filter Shape can be edited in depth. The unique audio engine is capable of delivering many sounds never heard before.

1.2.1 (5.Dec 14):
- Fixing a bug which prevents additional soundsets to be shown correctly on the options page

Each serial is entered separately for each sound set.

1.) click on the bottom right "OPTIONS"
2.) in the new window, go left "ADDITIONAL SOUNDS"
3.) click the " + enter sound license", and add each separately (manually)

Spectral Serial = SPECTRALR2R
Ian Boddy Signature Serial = IANBODDYR2R
Transformer Signature Serial = TRANSFORMERR2R
In-Visible Signature Serial = INVISIBLER2R
Warm n Deep Signature Serial = WARMNDEEPR2R

Ok friends,

I have entered every sound bank correctly but I could not insert SPECTRALR2R Bank! Anyone?

Now I think I understand the process! SPECTRALR2R is just for finishing installing the Spectral VSTi and rest is for adding all the banks.

Thank you very much

I bought this synth from LinPlug on some kind of crossgrade deal from Albino. I rarely pay full price for stuff as I don't have much money. I also don't use cracks anymore, except where I have to, to maybe test stuff or replace old stuff I've lost installers for. Hope no one holds that against me! ;-)

I would say this is a very good synth. I'm running it on old hardware and it can easily eat up your cpu, but I also have tracks where I have about 4 or 5 of this thing going and only hitting 50 percent cpu.

I wouldn't say it has a 'warm' sound (I know I know) - more of a glossy sheen kind of thing. I have definitely heard it do things that very few of my other vsts can do. It's also quite intuitive to work with and you can find your way around easily enough if you have a bit of experience with the standard fare of vsts. Definitely worth getting. It uses Additive synthesis but can't 'resample' like the likes of Alchemy or Harmor.

LinPlug is a great company. Peter is a very nice person to deal with. I find him honest and straightforward and always ready to help. It's not a big company and he's been around from the beginning, so I like to buy his stuff where I can.

Btw, if you didn't know, Linplug Alpha has had a facelift with a new resizable vector interface. It's massive now if you want it. And LinPlug have a sale on at the moment till the end of the year that gives something like a third of the price of all their stuff. So if you were thinking of getting any of their stuff... I will probably buy Alpha before the year is out.

[Disclaimer] I don't work for and am not associated with LinPlug in any way. I just own a few of their vsts as they are one of my favourite developers.

@ SoftIce,

Nice to hear your opinion. I love the old Albino and really don`t understand why it was discontinued. I will have a look at Linplug site and maybe I can afford some synth for a promotional price. I have bought a very good synth which is Synthmaster for a very good price. They are giving some great offer since Thanksgiving day. All the best

Yes, I still use Albino a lot. It's a great synth. I guess it just didn't have much of a future really after the 'falling out' between Peter and Rob Papen. Sad more than anything, but these things happen. I own a few things by Rob Papen too. Great synths, great service.

I'm not here to judge anyone for using cracks. All the software I own has been hard to pay for, but I think I have everything I need now. Maybe some of the people here downloading cracks will end up buying the 'real' software. But it does piss me off that people that pay for software are penalised and given a hard time compared to others. But that is the fault of the developers. If they want uncrackable stuff then dongle it, but I promise you I will never buy your software.

The LinPlug stuff is easy to install and the service is first rate, so I just thought I'd spread the word a bit about the sale. It's only a few more days now anyway.

And yes, synthmaster looks great, but I have synths I have paid for that aren't even installed yet. Not bragging, but showing that even when you buy stuff you can become overloaded. At the moment I am concentrating on learning a few synths really well.

I understand the 'collector' mentality of using cracks, and I've been there myself. But I've come out the other side and give my respect now to those that show they deserve it. Like LinPlug. Really, it's a cliche, but just pick three synths and learn those, then you can always get the sound you want, and have a couple in reserve that you know fairly well. If you are serious about making music you will probably come to that conclusion eventually. And of course, if yo can afford it, buy those synths and have the benefits of doing so - support, updates, a nice feeling that you are supporting the developer.

I know that different devs have different attitudes towards 'piracy'. Some are ok with it, others embrace it, and some are really really totally against it. LinPlug fall into the latter category, but wouldn't it be ironic if even a few people saw this post and went and bought something in the sale right now? I understand all sides of the argument and respect all people. If people don't respect my viewpoint because it doesn't coincide with theirs, then that is their problem.

Anyway, it is good to see a few people buying stuff here where they can. But as I said, I don't judge anyone personally.
