Universal Piper is a new instrument that aims at faithfully reproducing the sound and the playing sensation of bagpipes of any types.

The idea of this new instrument emerged facing the limitations encountered with a real bagpipe while composing, rehearsing or playing on stage, especially with other tempered instruments (guitar, piano).

This new instrument is composed of two parts:

- A software with a genuine and high quality sound generation

- An electronic chanter (under development) which will capture the piper's play and pilots the software to trigger the corresponding notes.

This is is not a VSTi, and I may be stupid but i coudn´t get it to work with my MIDI controller

Dear Friends,
I have a problem with this software, the issue being the fact you cannot install it to VST folder, but only to Program Files. Then, the keygen responds to already inserted challenge key. But when I copy the dll to VST folder it appears with a different challenge key, so the keygen is no good. I am not sure if it affects the performance, since the standalone version is seemingly registered, but I still feet uneasy about it. Anyone else had the same issue? Thanks for the advice in advance.

Got the same error here the plugin deletes the file ( licence.xml ) in
C:\Program Files\Universal Piper\Library
Then the plugin gives you a other challenge key
thats not the same as the stand-alone verson.
The only fix is a new keygen for the vsti plugin.
i tryed making the licence file read only but it didnt work
and just stops the plugin from deleting it.

Hey all, i got this working fine, all i did was copy the dll to VSTPlugin Directory and also the Licence.xml along with it, says its Registered here in both standalone and VST :) hope that helps.

I did not delete anything by the way i only copied across so there is 2 of each in original place and VSTPlugins directory
