I'm sure copylefter's release would have been respected but at the time of this post he didn't issue a repack yet.

They just do their job, I'm surely not that kind of guy like many sceners
that have balls to call such a release a dupe or argue on any argument with legends like R2R.
And in non-official-scene world, dupe doesn't even exist.
Like has been said many times, it's not who crack it first that matter,
it's who crack it better.
This time I was taken by the rush, my fault.
That's exactly why I'm waiting months for a nice release you'll see in the mid-near future, to be really really sure this time all is ok and no delayed checks are left.
It will make many people happy, hopefully on Win side too

To be really clear, this time I suggest all Mac people to use this R2R release

and not mine,
I surely trust more R2R skills than mine, and also I did a quick compare between their Mac crack and mine and I see a couple more functions patched, I didn't investigate deeply for now, maybe there's something more
and FF deliberately left v.1 license checking routine untouched to make fool crackers
(me in this case) release it partially cracked.

Seems also this R2R is giving timebombing problems or what?
I may have to change my mind again, cause my fixed release
seems to be ok, I mixed a quick project+I had running with 3 instances all night long without noise burst.

You're a humble guy copylefter, I like that about you. Everybody has to start somewhere and you're starting out further along than most. Look I don't say someone is the future about just anyone but I said it about you...multiple times to multiple people and this was before you cracked that much yet. You probably even remember one of my PMs where I made some inquiries. I believe in you man and your work so far has been excellent. Don't take this as a defeat, take it as a learning opportunity. Reverse R2R's work, see how they solve problems and take that knowledge and apply that thinking to your next project. For example you can tell two people to write a function and they will go about it in two completely different ways. With time your solutions will become more and more elegant. There's something I once read where someone asked a famous producer what he learned in his 20 + years of making music. He answered: control. With time you too will learn control. You're doing great and we all really appreciate your tireless work and dedication.

After my very first HexWars release (RobPapen).
Yeah, i.e. the same registration routine here was patched differently by me and R2R.
I always feel a bit guilty to reverse others work, but it's surely an opportunity to learn.
Without analyzing their Win crack I wouldn't be able to crack RobPapen stuff.
Now I'm able on my own, but at that time I lacked some skills I learned later.

Don't feel guilty to reverse someone's work. Anyone that says that they didn't learn by doing that is a liar because reading about reversing and reversing in practice are two completely different things. Reversing is a lot about approach and it's very important to see why one approach works and another doesn't, to make a few important distinctions and bring that kind of thinking to the next project. How many artists for example learn by studying other compositions? Everyone. Plus I'm one of the people that knows that others have also been learning from you. I wish there were more open sharing of information in the scene because unfortunately due to the nature of competition it's not as common as it should be. Like Rick Snoman said: I'll show you how it's done today but I want you to show me how it's done tomorrow. That's the kind of thinking that will have to be commonplace in order to ensure it's survival.

Cracking is indeed an evolving "ART" in movement, it's not static as many would believe. You can successfully crack one version with a minimum of patches – which maybe in the next updated version are changed or masked!

I used xdb's works of the past to understand the ART of cracking. A pity though that many (MAC) crack teams have disappeared. So the learning curve is much steeper for newbies and “aficionados“ = one has to to it himself first = lots of chances for failures. But failures are part of the game!

I think you were right ArticStorm, first report of issues and an anti-piracy warning just came in. Someone else couldn't install VST3 only VST2 as well.

Its not an update as such, it s new version. Both can run alongside each other. Pro Q 2 is also capable of opening any older Pro Q presets you may have saved.

Yes. Must be said that FabFilter says v.1 presets are compatible with v.2,
but there may be some problem with project with automation.
I have no session with Pro-Q v1 automated so I can't test myself though.
