Keolab SpicyGuitar v1.3 MAC OSX
Standalone - AU - VST

Keolab has announced that Spicy Guitar is now available for Mac OS X in 32/64-bits universal binary (VST and AudioUnit).

Spicy Guitar is a free physically modelled acoustic guitar synthesizer.
Relying on an innovative technology, its sounds are rich, natural and lively.

Spicy Guitar is an innovative acoustic guitar simulation software.
Relying on a brand new technology, Spicy Guitar lets you generate realistic
guitar parts as well as original string-based sounds.

Overview:
The character of 9 real guitars has been captured and a wide range of guitarist's
playing techniques, from vibrato to palm muting. Because it is based on a full
physical modeling of the guitar, the characteristics of the instruments - such as
the body size or the strings' material - can be changed in real-time. It offers to
the user a lot of sound possibilities.

Spicy Guitar has a chords detection system that converts piano chords into
guitar chords and automatically strums them, which makes the creation of
complex rhythms easy.

so I just pasted the links...

Why so lazy? You're are a resident so you can do posts as well.
I didn't want to post the windozes too. Is that so hard to understand?

I, and everyone now understand you give a shit about "windoze" (wow is so cool to write it like that) users, but I don't.

Now you're totally wrong!
I have offered many times windoze stuff too. Check for yourself.
With this post I just wanted to make some advertisement for this little toy - and not make cash as you believe. If you're missing windoze versions go and make your own post.

If Kook wanted to make money he could choose a lot better hosts to do that than BitShare. He's not one of those guys and he's supplied Windows stuff on many occasions. However I don't see a problem with adding some Windows links, perhaps we can make it a Win/OSX thread so everyone can have a taste of this plugin.

Yeah man not only do I not see a problem with it but I actually prefer one post for both platforms, it keeps things efficient. We mean requests aren't allowed but that doesn't extend to posting links for another platform which in effect upgrades the post making it twice as useful so I see nothing wrong with that at all. In fact I think that's really nice of you.

I remember trying this little thing Spicy Guitars last week and it wasn't working in Cakewalk Sonar. I set the output of the midi channel to Spicy Guitars and it had no sound. I had the midi file and wanted the guitar to output one channel from my midi file but it didn't. Maybe if someone succeeds doing that he would tell me how he did it and I'll give it another try.

I sometimes wonder why some people upload this kind of software on this sight! Call me a snob but I have downloaded some quality guitar samples & Vsti's etc from here & feel that once you have programs from such companies as Ilya Efimov, Indiginus, OrangeTreeSamples, Scarbee etc. then why would you bother with something like this!! I totally understand that some old software is quality and rare to find these days hence the upload of such material. I however can't understand why someone would offer this up for consideration. Maybe I'm missing something. I am eternally grateful for what I receive believe me! I just don't understand the reason for this. If anyone disagrees with my thought process on this matter then please enlighten me!! Thanks.

Think about it as a small advertising! The www is a virtual jungle, products and stuff aren't easy to find sometimes, but when they're displayed on sites like this one they get more exposure.

Of course “advanced" folks will probably choose much better software.

I could name about a million pieces of freeware that rival competing paid products.

So why entertain such an inferior product and thank the uploader in the process?

We both just explained to you why. If you're not interested then just skip it. A lot of people appreciate good freeware that they didn't know about. There are about a million excellent freeware plugins out there, just because this is one you don't like doesn't mean that they're not posted as well. Can't make a rule to only allow some freeware.

I don't have any problems with freeware as I use some of it myself! And no! you explained nothing to me Mr Catalyst. Kookaboo did make some sense though! I also don't ask for rules as it is basically a free for all here. I just get annoyed at people who upload this kind of stuff when there is so much better quality software on this sight. If my remarks annoy you then all I can say is take a deep breath and...............................................................Relax!!!

Sigh.... Why does everyone try to argue on here?

I don't know why you get annoyed at people who upload freeware that is not at your standards as it should not affect you in the slightest..

You dont have to download it or even pay attention to it.. if you don't like it then skip it. Their is no need to voice your opinion as it changes nothing. (No disrespect intended)

No disrespect Mr Anonymous but opinions do matter. Things wouldn't change if no-one had an opinion.

I'm totally relaxed. You asked a question and I gave an answer.

Yes i understand that, in certain circumstances it's justified but i find so many people are coming to AudioZ now an throwing their opinion out their telling Catalyst how if they were a mod they would change this and that.. The thing is it's over little things like this that can easily be skipped..

Well you have your opinion and I respect that Mr Anonymous but I was just saying something that bothered me. I wasn't trying to be controversial or try to be the next mod! It wouldn't matter who replied. I reckon it's okay to express things & if that gets some backs up then so be it.

Further to that I am in no way a troll and would not express this kind of opinion just for the sake of it! This site is by far the best that I know and I just find it hard to take when some people upload this kind of material when the overall quality on this sight is of a far higher standard. Maybe I am a snob and I apologize for that. I guess I'm just too used to the good stuff. Anyway I'm gonna shut up now.

It's because people are free to post what they like, so long as it conforms with our rules. The way I look at it is every post extends our catalog making it more useful. Perhaps for you this plug-in is nothing special but to someone else maybe it's something that they've been looking for. Who are we to make decisions as to what someone may or may not like? That's why we allow everything to be posted and you guys decide on what exactly you want. We've even made it easy for you with the bookmarks feature to keep a list of what that is and not get lost in all the other posts.

Yeah you're right. We are spoiled for choice here and everyone to their own taste.

When I see posts like this I think "what can they do with these few Mb? I like to try it.".
I listened the demos. All of them.
I remember the really old days and some guitars sounded very similar.
Maybe I want this sound in my tracks, . Not necessary in front. Just sounding somewhere.
Maybe I'll need a guitar that sounds bad, even poorly played, Theatre needs that sort of things once in a while.

I think I`ll keep this soft.
