The sounds are not the best, but the rhythm/performance generator is great and can be rendered through whatever guitar (or ???) samples you choose, which is just fantastic!

Yeah, there is bunch of bs, people whining for whatever they can think of (and they surely can). And yeah, dunno how it looks at Mac side, but PC side is pretty filled with Mac requests, almost with every post. Guess people don't read the rules or don't understand them. Eighter case, for those that can understand them, don't make it worse than it already is.

Yes it's true – but please notice when a release comes FIRST for MAC you'll see people asking (begging) for a PC/WiN version! I don't understand why they are so greedy/envious, since on the PC side you can find tons + tons of stuff & Freeware.... dunno Maybe the "mainstream" is never satisfied???

Or maybe people generally aren't never satisfied.. specially with this stuff they can get for free. Only makes more greedy for more they get. I was happy I had to buy the actual daw as it wasn't available otherwise. Makes feel good to support stuff that deserves it and is actually in good use, as most of these things aren't. You just test them and let them go. As should be with useless nagging, just let it be at its own level.

In the "string area" of the toy (at the middle of the neck), I can see only 5 colours.

I have to buy such a toy cheap somewhere used, and try that shit out.

It's a Guitar Hero World Tour controller, for pc or xbox 360. Both work eighter case, no matter would it be wired or wireless. Just for the xbox 360 wireless controller, you need 360 wireless receiver for pc.
Earlier versions of Guitar Hero controllers work as well, they just lack that slide bad. Rock Band controllers should do as well, just as long it isn't for ps3.

From the manual:

PlayStation 3 Guitar Hero World Tour/Guitar Hero 5 guitar controller is the best fully functional device to use both on Mac and PC (used on our Demo videos).
Note, no game console needed, only USB wireless receiver.

Well.. ps3 uses bluetooth connection for those wireless gadgets I believe, for its wired things you would need MacGyver to find working solution to hook it up to pc. Guess there is adapter to hook up ps3 wireless controllers to pc as well. Not sure, not familiar with that.

You know, that xbox 360 wireless receiver used to be official microsoft gadget, nowadays those are third party devices, but oh man are those handy. Everything you can hook up to 360 you can hook up to pc and it works. Just 64bit windows 7 needs a driver for receiver to work, but what the heck. Talking about driver.. that might be bigger problem with that ps3 stuff. Windows have support for gadgets ment for 360 but not that much for things meant to ps3. There might be driver if you find receiver and it might work or not in your windows. So ps3 support is kinda unofficial with windows.

I'd put my money on 360 or pc side of things, specially that I already have 360 wireless receiver and controller. wink

Sadly for my inquiries, haven't found cheap used or new world tour controller yet. damn

You can buy them on Amazon for 28 Euro (+ shipping).

But I even wanted to spend less, for just trying.
Actually lot of people sell them... they must have sold tons of that crap.

Maybe I write a mail to the guys, and ask them if that statement in the manual is a mistake, or not.

Yeah, except for this part of world shipping would cost more than a controller.. damn Otherwise amazon would be good alternative. I have looked around second hand markets and online sites that sell second hand stuff. Shipping would be so much less if you can buy that controller within own country or even without shipping, due it's not that small item with box. As new those slider models cost roughly 50 to 70 euros. Of course you get guitar hero world tour game with that money also. tongue Can use that as glass coaster if you don't consider to be believeable rocker with piece of plastic. headbang

Time-consuming (or better, time-stealing) bastards.

I have found one slider model in my town (exactly the same like in the video) for 25 Euro, but it's for PS3. A bit too much, if you get it new for 28.
I found another for 15, which has a "Metallica" design with two skulls headbang
But it seems to have a slider, too. Maybe it's based on the same model.
Just have to find out for what platform it is.

Or I simply continue to use my Fender strats and my PRS, and forget about this tongue

I tried the software, it works perfectly in stand alone mode ... but it doesn't work in Cubase.
Start the trace, you hear the sound but no graphics window opens with the software settings,
