WOK UNCLE SAM v1.1 VST screenshot
Our next step in emulating classic analogue synthesizer sound! UNCLE SAM is the big brother of our SAM plugin, again featuring our VAE* technique to emulate analog circuit instabilities. This is the plugin version of how the musicians wished the Oberheimβ„’ SEM module to be in that past times!

We kept the warm sound and the clearly laid out user interface of the predecessor SAM and added all this nice functions, which where to expensive to realize in hardware in that time. UNCLE SAM now has full equipped envelopes , a third oscillator, a ring modulator and an effect unit with delay and chorus. There is a third envelope to control the volume of the ring modulator / noise source and/or the pitch of VCO2 . The third VCO can run as a sub osc or tuned between the fine tune settings of the two main VCOs. There is an adjustable amplifier stage for all OSCs together with the ability to saturate the filter.

Also there are new filters: for the middle position between the lowpass and the highpass controller you may now choose between a bandpass, notch or comb filter. The filters can have 12 or 24db slope. Particularly the new 24db lowpass delivers a nice, droning sound.

There are two FX often needed to complete a sound, and thus it makes sense to save them within a program: a delay and a chorus. The delay is host synced and ranges from up to 4 bars to a very short time, which can result in bizarre noise scapes when used with the nearly 100% feedback.
For the chorus we offer you a dual mono chorus with a sound similar to old Rolandβ„’ synths, and a more modern sounding stereo chorus with a 6x unmodulated detune effect!

Together with the known MIDI modulation matrix and system options, this plugin will deliver much more than to be expected from the plain GUI.

64 presets included.

So what has happened to WOK and his VST-plugins?
For a long time I provided many kinds of (free) VST plugins to the community. This has been mainly a hobby all the time, nothing to make a living from. Developing the audio and graphics part of the plugins ate up all my spare time. Things also became more difficult with 64-Bit Windows raising up and Synthedit-64 never leaving the alpha-state. Because of my personal situation having changed severely, I may not be able to continue on this; my stepson, who is living abroad, became seriously ill, so my wife and I had to spend all our remaining income for his treatment, while my own worsen health situation does not make it possible for me to spend so much time for an additional, non profit, work. Whereas my own medical condition is serious but not critical, we now have the situation to have spent all our saved money for medical treatment of my wife’s son. As this has become a financial problem above all now, there would be one solution for me to be able to continue plugin development: I started a fundraising campaign to collect money for further support of my stepson (please read more details about the story there). If this would indicate to succeed, I would be able to spend time and energy again for this (much more fun) work. I would then reissue all my existing plugins as freeware and publish new ones as donationware. Please learn more about the story here. Please also spread that link. Thanks for your support!

Update: Donators will receive a mail with a link for access to a download area for my past 44 free and experimental plugins.

Why not take a look on the dev site?

music.service-1.de/html/uncle_sam_vst_synth.html

My god you have been here along time still asking those silly questions.

But when it comes to WOK plugins
All plugins are 32bit Windows VST plugins

Give him a break. Maybe he wasn't in the right situation to omit that question. Maybe he was in a rush or something or he just forgot to check out the official page.
We don't have to be so harsh to each other.

Oohps sorry for that yourΓ© right but itΒ΄s not the first or the second or the third time Olymoon pops that question here..

Anyway i looked at dev site it took less than a minuet or so to found this that i copy /paste in my original post

All plugins are 32bit Windows VST plugins

But i agree with Olymoon it shall always be posted if it is 64 32 or Rtas Vst3 Au or whatever in the header of the post

I checked the dev site before asking, but I couldn't find any clear indication about if it was or not x64.
It woudl be much logical to tell it in the post text.

Oly why not just use jBridge and not worry about it because if you restrict yourself to only 64 bit stuff you're missing out on a lot of goodies.

Hi all. I am always asking myself why people are arguing each other for such reasons like people asking questions. I can understand when its about Mac/Windows, if you are not in the right section. But one thing I worry about: if I was a dev , and see in one day a Traffic Jam in my web site I never saw before, first thing I ll tell my self "God somebody have cracked my product !!". So do you really think that it's the best thing that audioz users make a rush the same day on the dev websites ???????? Oly is right, put the right information and nobody will either argue about shity purpose. + As I know Samplitude doesn't need Jbridge, its not a "half finished product". I am using Ableton Live too (for example) and installing Jbridge just put a big mess in my others software (samplitude for example) .... It's just my opinion. Love and Peace

I'm using Sequoia, I don't really need to stay into x64. But as a personal imposed limit, I prefer to have almost only x64 unless the vst(i) is really not replaceable by another.
It's a valuable information not only for me.
Any way, I don't understand why is this such a problem to ask such a simple question??

Hi,
Have fun with it!
The sound surprised me and it is really, really useful because it sounds a lot different, warm and cool…
Definitly not Oberheim like, the sawtooth, I own a OB-8, but really cool.
Enjoy!
