Team CHAOS | March 11 2014 | 29.95 MB
Band-in-a-Box is so easy to use! Just type in the chords for any song using standard chord symbols (like C, Fm7, or C13b9), choose the style you'd like, and Band-in-a-Box does the rest... Band-in-a-Box automatically generates a complete professional-quality arrangement of piano, bass, drums, guitar, and strings or horns.

RealTracks add the human element of great session musicians to your songs and version 2014 offers some of the most exciting new RealTracks yet! Along with 101 new RealTracks there are 3 Unreleased Bonus RealTracks Sets including Pop Strings. Plus, version 2014 has a great new look with a redesigned GUI, 54 MIDI SuperTracks and 36 Artist Performances, new Hi-Q MIDI sounds and much more!

We’re very excited to offer one of our biggest upgrades! Band-in-a-Box 2014 includes over 50 great new features and enhancements, 101 more amazing RealTracks, 54 MIDI SuperTracks, 36 Artist Performances and that’s not all.

The GUI has been redesigned with a great new look and many time-saving enhancements! The Toolbars and Song Title Area have been redone, and the chord sheet now has a “Real” looking handwritten font for chords. We’ve added UserTracks. Now you can make your own RealTracks to add to your song. Plus there’s a handy Instant Preview of styles, RealTracks, and RealDrums so that you can quickly audition them to choose the best ones for your song. Loops now support Acidized Loops. A Legato Strings feature that automatically optimizes MIDI string parts to prevent retriggering the same notes, a new Master Volume allows you to boost volumes of all songs with one setting, 8 new Hi-Q MIDI sounds, and many more…

Thanks for putting this up, but I have to admit that when I saw the title I gasped for a second.... I thought maybe, just maybe the whole thing finally showed up :) Requested it awhile back, cause I was surprised when I realized how really great this program had become -- I guess at this point I should probably stop waiting.

PG Music's very original copy protection scheme: sheer size!!

The whole thing is what, 250 gigabytes?

BTW, without RealTracks, this thing is virtually useless.

Do you have the 250GB? Can you share this pack? Can you write a comment here or in audiosex of your work with this pack? Can you post a song or something using this soft with the 250GB pack?

"Do you have the 250GB?"

I don't.

"Can you post a song or something using this soft with the 250GB pack?"

Plenty of demos on the PG Music site (link right beneath description.)

These are basically loops, there's nothing a demo can do better or worse.

Besides, I don't have BiB with the entire library, like I said. How am I supposed to produce a demo?

It's actually 250gb, with the new 101 RealTracks released this year. PG Music sells the complete version on a USB drive.

Hey "genius",

the previous release doesn't include the entire library, only 6 real tracks (1 gb of data, or 1/250 of the entire library.)

What's more brainless than talking about something you clearly know nothing about? Maybe being unable to spell simple words like "really"?

Talking about reading...

"Band-in-a-Box 2014 includes (...) 101 more amazing RealTracks"

And they're not here or in the original 2014 release. Now you can use all your aliases to hide my reply, but that's only because you can't handle the truth.

Hey CHAOS, first -- thanks again for the release.

I don't think anyone was trying to put down your efforts or make like your post was mislabeled or misleading .

I downloaded about 80 gb of realtracks stuff about 2-3 years ago. Even with that much of it you still get alot of issues with the software where it just tells you it can't locate something you're trying to do. Happens all the time. So I wouldn't say it's "useless", but I would say based on my working with it over the past 6 months or so (and having that 80 gb of realtracks), it's definitely a bit crippled. Given that, yeh, to think you could do much with it with just 3 or 4 of the realtrack files isn't very realistic.

Thing is, I don't know if we'll ever see any download of 250 gb anytime soon, so its probably not very realistic to expect it. On those terms CHAOS is giving us as good as it probably gets, and so I just leave it at thank you!

I would have no issues with him if he didn't insult me and act like a juvenile jerk. What I said is factual: the library isn't included, and that's what's attractive about BiB.

I agree totally with the missing realtracks issue.
This is the most amazing piece of software, it`s only downfall being that it doesn`t rewire.
That being said you can run it in sync with your DAW and darg and drop.....
It would be wonderful if somebody came up with the real thing, the full version is around 650 Aus.
Too rich for my wallet (I`m broke) but it is cheaper than most programs/ libraries out there

I wasn't blaming you, genius, just saying that without library this software is virtually useless.
Obviously it went right over your head.

Nice one.

I wish we would release it because I haven't seen you as excited about something as you are about this. You don't ask for much so it would be nice if one day we could make it happen for you.

I get excited about some of this stuff now and then, but the fact is that there really isn't all that much in audio-related software that's wildly new for a long time now. Every 5, six years you get something like a melodyne that comes along and it kind of blows you away but let's face it -- another soft reverb or compressor isn't going to change much about the way I do things with music. In fact, I doubt it changes much of anything for any of us. We get intrigued by these things, but I don't really believe it changes the texture or quality of our music work.

That said, what really got me about BIAB was the SURPRISE factor. I honestly was expecting some boom-chukka crap, and stuff done with it sounds a helluva lot better than that.

Where I think it really becomes a standout is for singer/songwriters, since they can be notoriously crappy producers (unless your Prince), and with something like this you can get a very decent arrangement on a song in a few minutes. If we actually had the realtrack files you could have 10 different arrangements for a song, and pick and choose from them with remarkable speed, which is a huge thing for musicians whose strong suit isn't production. Without the complete set of real track files, and with me having just those real track files I picked up from Demonoid a few years back, I can only get maybe 1 out of every 7 or 8 arrangements that I try to call up in the software. The others you just get a 'can't find it' error prompt. So yeah, I'd love to see how this would work out if it could be used to its full potential. In that sense I'm like anyone else-- if I find something that sounds really good to me, I want to hear more of it!

BTW, how are you making out on the smoking thing? Still off, trying, Marlboro-ing??? Hope you're sticking to your guns, though I know how tough it is. It took me many years and several tries before I got the hang of it. If you haven't stopped yet, don't give up trying.

You're absolutely right, that's why there's only a few things here and there that I've really been waiting for but mostly it's all the same. I find that too much choice becomes a distraction and is actually totally counter-intuitive. on that boom-chukka crap comment, yeah it's impressive from what I've seen and heard. I can see how this program could be incredibly useful and not only that it seems it would make songwriting more enjoyable when you're not caught up in the excruciating minutiae of production. That puts me off too at times and it's incredibly frustrating because there is always so much to learn and so many skills that take a large amount of time and effort to develop. I'll keep a lookout if I see it anywhere or maybe some kind member will be nice enough to share with us.

Concerning smoking: it's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and that's saying a hell of a lot. Sometimes I can't even believe how fucking insidious this addiction is especially after decades and it's so damn frustrating to know that you need to quit and then continue doing it almost sub-consciously like you have no control whatsoever. I get furious at myself that my father died from this very thing and somehow that just isn't enough...it's stupefying to me. I've even gotten to the point where most of the time I hate it but no matter what I end up back where I started, And I'd be hard-pressed to find a more ridiculous waste of money. Thanks man, I needed to hear that. You're right it took a long time to create this addiction and I guess it's reasonable to expect that it will take some time to put things in order and finally quit for good. I might try Bupropion, sometimes you need a little distance in the beginning to make it over that hump. I'll take all the help I can get.
